For me and DH only!!! My parents will watch the kids - but our ADR is for 8:15pm so I'm hoping I can get the kids settled in bed then just swing downstairs for a nice, quiet and relaxing dinner with my DH.

Any recommendations? I read the menu from Deb Wills' site, but it's from December 2005. I would love to hear a recent review. I'm really looking forward to trying AP. This will be our first time there.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

You will love it. We have done most of the signature rest. in Disney and this was our fav. The entre choices do change and they have specials every time we have gone. Have fun.

Mushroom soup, cedar plank salmon, wild berry cobbler. Pair it with a nice Oregon Pinot Noir and you're set. Enjoy!

OOOO! I have to agree with ElisabethB!! Can't beat that combination.

It's so delish - you'll have a great time no matter what you order.

Just a note: the wild berry cobbler is really more of a shortcake (or was in May '05). I just don't want you to be disappointed when it doesn't come with an oatsy crust. It was a bit of a surprise but it was still pretty good.

The menu on Deb's site is only two months old and is pretty current. We ate there in January and I don't recall that there was any significant difference in the offerings (going from memory).

Some favorites for starters:
Venison Spring rolls
Portobello Soup

For the main course:
Buffalo Steak (really!)
Pork Chop
Beef Tenderloin

I understand the Salmon is great too, but have never tried it.

We had dinner there on January 3rd and enjoyed it. It is not my absolute favorite (That would be Flying Fish & California Grill) but the surroundings are great. Take a stroll and watch the water pageant after dinner :thumbsup2

I had a Martini, the Frisée Salad & Cedar Plant Salmon.

The buffalo sirloin is excellent. It's served with a hazlenut sweet potato gratin, which is good enough to be a dessert. FYI, buffalo should not be cooked past medium or it will become very dry, because it is much lower in fat than beef.

Here's the AP part of my dining review. AP was definitely one of my favorites, so I thought I'd share...

ARTIST POINT:This was our dinner without baby. We had ADRs for 7pm and had about a 10 minute wait. The restaurant was much larger than I imagined, and very pretty...high ceilings with painted murals, walls of windows. We asked the waitress if we could use the dining plan for one meal and pay for an entree out of pocket..no problem! She suggested the Chef's Selection, which included a salad, soup, entree, and dessert. DH had the Frisee Salad and I had the Smoky Portobello Soup, both were very good. DH ordered the Buffalo Sirloin Steak cooked medium, which was divine! Very similar to beef, but a little sweeter. I got the Cedar Plank Salmon, which was very good, too. We ha the Berry Cobbler for dessert, and to me, it was a little to berry-y. The berries were very good, but with the berry sorbet, it was a little much, IMO.
When the meal was over we were stuffed! Splitting one meal plan and buying one entree was a great idea. By the way, even though we didn't bring DD to AP, she would have fit in fine there! Although I'd consider it an upscale restaurant, there were tons of kids. And I also saw people dressed in all sorts of clothes, from workout type clothes to more dressed up. Anything goes, it seems.
OVERLL: A

One of my favorite restaurants at Disney.

I loooove Artist Point! Mushroom soup and cobbler were AMAZING!
