Hard Rock Hotel June 7th for one night. Aph rate is 179.00, tax 22.38 for a total of 201.38!!!!! I'm a happy person tonight!:cool1:

I have a couple questions about the annual pass. Do I have to turn in the voucher before we check in? Will we still have to pay for resort parking? I think it's like 15.00 a night, right? What else do I need to know about the annual pass?

Yes you still have to pay to park at the hotel, as for the aph you have to show them before you check out,or at check out to get the rate.

The benefits change month to month for their specials, you have to check the passholders section on the universal website. log in required.

Most if not all resturaunts give a % off, the universal store gets10-15% off
I belive. For instance this month you can buy a dinner at Finnagans and get the 2nd one 50% off. there was others also.

The annual pass is 229.99 plus tax. I also booked two rooms and the savings on both room paid for my pass,

Our two nights alone at RPH was enough to pay for the annual pass. Plus, we now don't have to pay for parking, which saves us another $30! Well worth it! And then maybe I can talk my husband into an impromptu trip in October :rolleyes1

You still have to pay for parking. The free parking is for day guests at the Universal garage. No free parking at the hotels. I'm sure you'll still find the APH to be a good deal. :goodvibes

Thanks for posting about June! I just changed my seasonal rate of $269.00 to the APH rate of $174 at RPR the first weekend in June. :cool1:

Thank you for posting this! You just saved me about $300 on our June 4-7 trip. It more than covers the annual pass, and I will get all the other benefits.

OK, so do I have to call or can I look online? We are going June 17-20? Will that have discounts for those dates?

Kim

Nevermind, I think I figured it outr. Went to Universal's website and under promotion I entered APH. It doesn't look there are any for my dates. I wonder if there will be since I am getting closer to peak travel times.

AP rates up to the first week in June, after that its Summer season, but hopefully AP rates will come out by March, for Summer.

Thanks so much for the awesome tips! This will make it much more affordable for us, otherwise I wasn't sure we'd be able to stay at a Universal hotel.

to add to this, i figured out that an AP makes sense if you are doing at least four days with park to park access. the cost difference is $80, but you'll save at least $100 on the room with an AP rate--likely more. i just bought an AP on saturday and even with a room upgrade at PBH i saved $100--so really, that's 'only' a savings of $20, but still--now i have an AP. plus, i was able to convince my husband to 'downgrade' (i don't think it is a downgrade) to RPR, so now we're saving over $450 from what we originally booked. totally worth it. and now i can go back in the fall! :cool1:
