Just booked another one!

Hey all....just booked another cruise!!! We are sailing on the Magic on May 10th, our replacement cruise for the cancelled 11/30 cruise....taking the western swing this time. Just booked today a 3 day on the Wonder for September 11th...yes, I know the date sucks but had no choice.....so here is the deal...wife and I love cruising...our 23 year old daughter can take it or leave it...but my mother in law turns 80 in May my daughter and I decided to take her on a cruise with us....but we did not tell the wife about it....it will be a total surprise to her. We were going to spend 6 nights in Disney, so we will spent 3 at Disney then 3 on the cruise. Kind of gonna surprise her on Thursday morning when her mom walks into the room and I tell her we are going on the cruise.....but anyway...if anyone is on that cruise with us.....say hello!

I love taking Mom (74) on cruises - she had her first airplane ride and cruise on 9/28/02. We had a wonderful time and have two more planned for this year. I am sure you will all have a wonderful time together.

I was worried about taking my 80 y.o. mother on a cruise and we just got back. She loved it so much she insisted we rebook for 6 month from now.

I've booked my 76 year old mom to come with us to Alaska this summer. She is very excited. I'm sure she's told anyone who will listen about her trip.

It should be a fun time for all 6 of us.

I find it so amazing that our parents are so resistant to doing the cruise but yet when they are there, the first thing they want to do is rebook! Mom and I have two planned for this year and she is already asking me when are we going in 2004!

Regarding the Alaska cruise, did you go through DVC and their associate for it or book it independently?

TChrist05....Hey glad to hear you finally pulled the trigger. The further I get away from that Nov. 02 cancellation and the closer I get to our next booking (Nov. 29th Eastern) the more warm and fuzzy I feel. I too am going to book another 4 night Wonder for my kids spring break 04.

My Alaska cruise was booked through a local travel agent. I came across a deal that was too good to pass up. We are going on the Celebrity Mercury at the end of July.

Wow! I think that's great to get a good deal. I know we are making our plans by looking at brochures and deciding what areas of Alaska we'd like to see.

A gal pal from nursing school moved there with her DH and 4 DS's nearly 20 years ago and says she will never leave! DH is a hunter/fisherman and retired USAF. Both say that it's everything you've ever heard and more!
