I am so excited. Just booked a Deluxe Studio at Jambo House 9/2 - 9/9. This will be the first time my wife and I are going to WDW by ourselves, since we Honeymooned there almost 25 years ago. Every trip since has been with our children, or with our children and other groups. Our children are grown and even though we still have gone with them, as recently as last year. This is the first time it will just be the two of us, in over 24 years. It will be fun making our plans and our dining reservations as just the two of us and not having to seek input or cater to the kids or other groups of people. This will be just us doing what we want to do for the entire week. Am I wrong to be excited about this?

We have been fortunate enough to have vacationed in WDW many times over our 24 years of marriage, so we have enjoyed so many of the things that WDW has to offer. As it has been quite sometime since it has been just the two of us and we are no longer young people ourselves. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things to for us to do.

Sounds like it will be a really fun trip. It's been a few years since we've last stayed at AK but we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings, drinking coffee and just watching the animals. We also like breakfast at Boma and the pool. I've not been to the sit down dining at AK but have heard that they're both pretty good. Just walking the grounds off the main lobby is really enjoyable too. There are little pockets that have lookouts to see different animals and lots of rocking chairs.
