The Story
Errmm how long have I been trying to book this trip........well since sometime last year, you know those hazy times when we thought paying about £500 for a family of four to stay in June half term was rather pricey...
To cut and long and stressful story short, due to various reasons (some financial, some simply a case of not pulling my finger out!) I cleverly managed to miss all of the good offers, including the excellent AP deals etc.
Every single day for the past week , infact ever since the sun came out and the kids started thinking about holidays in general, they have been waking up with one thing on their minds...DISNEY!!!! They know we are going in June half term as the travel has been booked since November. What they DIDN'T know was that I hadn't booked anything DISNEY yet!
So despite probably not getting as good a deal as I could have, today I have bitten the bullet and booked on the french site for the equivalent of £770, and whatever my bank decides to whack on top of that for buying in Euros. When you compare that to the UK site quoting £1047 for the same holiday, I feel ok.
Did I say OK?? I mean

Now I can look the kids in the eye when they ask me what ride I want to go on first (even tho the answer is always small world!!)
Now the planning begins (oh yeah and the diet!)
If better offers come up, c'est la vie. At least now I KNOW we are really going!
The only annoying bit is that I had to book a day earlier than anticipated (but Eurotunnel were great changing my dates even tho I did it with Clubcard Vouchers), which means my booking for Premier Inn for the night before is scuppered and they apparently have no vacancies for the Saturday night....so not sure what to do about that one!
So excited now!!!
