Last night I booked a WDW trip for my twin DDs-15 and I...as an add on to our family HHI trip in Aug.
We had Aug 17-22 booked at HHI with our DVC. So I added 4 nights at WDW from Aug 13-17. We, girls, will drive down, leaving the 12th and do WDW and then head up on the 17th to meet the boys at HHI. I am going to look into flying down and then renting a car to go from WDW to HHI on the 17th...if it's not crazy expensive to rent a car for a 1 way trip, I will probably go that route since I have a $180 SW credit that can be used for the flight down. Any suggestions on rentals? We have NEVER rented a car.
I asked each girl where they wanted to stay and one said SSR and the other said BWV. Just for fun I looked for a SV studio at BWV, we have never been able to get SV there, and it was available the last 2 nights, so I grabbed it quick...then I booked the SSR studio for the 1st 2 nights. Both girls happy!! But, where do I request location wise for SSR? I would usually think Congress Park to walk to DD, but the path was closed, no? What about being near the boat dock? DD really wants to go over the 2 mornings for coffee before heading to the parks. Do park buses stop at DD or would we have to walk back over to SSR?
After booking the rooms last night I realized it was the 180 day mark for making ADRs, so I looked up BOG as we have been trying to get an ADR there since it opened. Guess what...got it!!! For Aug 14th. I booked Raglan Road for the 13th as I have always wanted to try that. So 2 new places and I told my girls I wanted all 4 dinners to be new places for us. So, my BWV DD chose Via Napoli and I showed my SSR DD Akershus (she is fixated on Norway
) and she wanted to try it. I tried to book VN and Akershus but the ADR system won't let me since it's a split stay and the 2nd part's 180 day window starts tomorrow...but I would think the 15th should be bookable since that is check-out day and it's highlighted in the ADR calendar and lets me go all the way to adding the members of the party...then I get an error message. Does VN book fast...should I call in and try to get it booked today or will I be fine with booking tomorrow?

. Or, you could bring your own coffee to brew in the room before heading out for the day. Just make sure you make it with bottled water because the tap water makes it taste awful in my opinion!
