I'm always watching flight prices from the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area to Orlando for our late-October trip to WDW. I prefer to fly out of Akron (5 minutes from our house!) on either Delta or Airtran and their lowest prices to Orlando are usually around $114 one way plus tax. Just this afternoon I checked and they were at $69 plus tax! :cool1: I don't know if Delta is having a sale just today or what, because I checked yesterday and they were still $114. Just thought I would post this on the boards for anyone else that might find it useful! FYI... our total price round trip for 3 people was $538. Yesterday this same flight was over $800!!! :dance3:

for some reason its cheaper to fly outta there and i dont get it lol my uncle and his family always fly outta akron and they are always cheaper than our pittsburgh flights but for us to drive the whole way there to get a cheap flight, it would cost just as much with gas being so high that we just fly out of pittsburgh which is only 30 mins from our house. but i'm glad to see you got a good deal, we booked ours for may for 140 round trip outta pittsburgh and thats not too bad!

I'm always amazed at the great prices I see flying from other places to Orlando. The cheapest flight to Orlanda from Birmingham, AL in the last several years has been abour $220. I could save a very small amount by driving to Atlanta or Memphis, but not enough to make it worth my time. I'm jealous of your great fares.

I got a great fare with them too. $227 from LAX and that was with a nonstop on the way home. Yeah us! I have never flown them before so I am excited/nervous. What has been your exprience?

We flew Delta last year and our experience was that they change the flights ALOT. It might only be by a minute or two but every time they do you lose your seats and you need to call and have them reinstated. If you don't catch that right away, you could be sitting all over the plane. They also don't notify you for a small time change, so if getting the seats you want makes a difference to you, check on a daily basis to see if there are any changes.

I'm going to look at Delta for our Spring Break 2008 cruise. My big concern is that a non-stop flight will either be changed to include a layover or will change our arrival/departure time (we're also doing a quick WDW trip after the cruise). Any experiences with this?

We usually fly SW but I don't want to wait so long for the flights to be released.

That is good information to know. I will check right now to make sure my flight is still the same!
