and I've got a question. What do they look like? Can anyone direct me to pics? Will I feel spoiled forever?

My sister asked me the other day if we could add an extra night on to our Thanksgiving stay. I told her probably not tacked on to the end of our trip during the busy holiday week but then I started to think about the week before. I'm so excited that I could add an extra night to our stay at the beginning of the trip and thought why not check out the discounted cash price on a GV and it was available!

So any and all info on staying in one at Hilton Head would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!

Hi, ZerasPride. I just wanted to say that sounds like an awesome trip! I would love to spend Thanksgiving in a GV at HH!

Have fun!

Wow, I'm jealous. We have stayed in the GV 2 years in a row but it is too warm for a fire in the fireplace when we go. You have to build a fire, what a memory.

You will love the GV. Master downstairs and 2 bedrooms up. A nice entryway with a bench and shelf to store beach stuff, shoes, maybe jackets for when you're going. A bath off the side of that.

A large living room area with doors on either side of the fireplace leading onto the porch. Nice dining table and counter with stools.

Yes, you will be spoiled for life. We bought a resale just so we could get the GV every year.

We leave for the GV at HH in 14 days. If I can figure out how to post pics I will when we get back.

We'll be in a 2BR at HH for Thanksgiving as well. Will you be offering tours to DVC members of your GV? :wave2:

May I ask how much the discounted cash rate for a GV is?

Thanks so much!

You will love it, We have been able to do a 2bd and a 1bd since, as for a studio or regular hotel room, we can only do that for a night or two. it is so cool to have a fire going. they will bring wood up to room door. There should be some when you get there. If not, and you want to get the kids out for an errand, they keep fire wood on the patio outside the room with the pool table, and also along the wall under the parking deck at the main building.

Hi-
Here is a link to Doc's website with lots of photos of the resort and GV- We are hoping to get a GV for the first time for next April- keep your fingers crossed for us (I mean send some pixie dust this way!!) We've been to HH twice in the past year and stayed in 2BR's - they are just wonderful but the GV is my dream!
Here you go, happy planning!!

Thanks so much guys for the responses!

TIdoublegaER and Macnjac87 - I can't believe the wonderful pics!!!!! Thanks so much for posting them. I can't wait to show my family. They will flip.

mgrebenc - thanks for the detailed description of the GV.

Even though we've got the GV for only one night (then we move into separate villas after that), I know this will be a wonderful experience for all of us! I just can't wait!

poohj80 - I doubt my family would appreciate me having people walk through our unit, I wouldn't mind one bit! We'll be in a 2 bedroom unit (and then various family members will be moving into their own 1 bedroom villas) for Thanksgiving week too. Perhaps we'll run into each other! The GV is $248 per night with the discount and this does not include tax. We have a cash night booked at the end of our trip that I will be cancelling and it was about $125 for the two bedroom so I don't think this rate is bad at all!

Thanks so much again for all the info! I hope we get a GV in building 18, that view was beautiful!
