My head is spinning! We've just been gifted a 4 night stay at Aulani for next month by very dear friends of ours. Please give me info about how to make this quick trip magical!

There isn't a lot you have to do -- just show up and enjoy! You may want to read the board for lots of good tips about where to eat, etc. (Food there is very pricey. You'll have a great time.

If we only had 4 days, I would probably not leave the resort.
We spend most of the day floating in the cove!
Have a wonderful trip!

Soooo exciting!! I am a Cast Member at Aulani so let me know if you have any questions! When I stayed at Aulani as a guest, we didn't want to leave the resort! So many activities for everyone!! And we never get tired of the pools and slides!!

Thanks for the reply. This is a special trip for us. My son was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2014. It was very aggressive and he passed away 10 months later. His Make a Wish was to go to Aulani to surf and swim like a mermaid. Unfortunately, he was unable to make the trip. This trip is to fulfill his wish and honor his memory.

Oh Gorechick. I'm so sorry for your loss. The Aulani is a truly delightful place. Don't leave the resort (except maybe to cross the road to eat). You should let someone at the resort know what this trip is about for you and your family.

Our friends have been in touch with the resort for a few months planning this trip. I'm sure they let the resort know.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you have a magical and healing trip.

Our travel plans are set! We arrive Jan. 26th and stay until the 30th. I'm in the process of planning our days, though the Daily activities schedule is not out for our dates yet. For dining, we'd like to eat at Ama Ama, Makahiki Menehune Character dinner, and Monkeypod for nice dinners. Most likely quick service, lounges, and shopping center across the street for lunches. Will be booking spa treatments for me and DH and the girl's makeover for DD. Hope to have her go to Aunty's for a couple of activities, not sure if I want to book the special Surf activity through dinner time or have her dine with us every night. We will have a car for one day, not sure how much we will venture off property with such a short stay. This is so special and exciting that we are getting to go in my son's memory! Any other suggestions or info is appreciated.

That is so heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your loss. It might be nice to leave a special time to go away from the busyness of the resort to find a quiet and peaceful place (with your family or on your own) to have a time to remember your son by either sharing memories or talking to him directly. There is a little cove just down the path to the right where a harbor seal likes to sun himself that would be lovely if you could manage to go when no one else is there. Again, I'm very sorry. I hope you have a wonderful trip in his honor.

We are arriving at Aulani this Tuesday! I've made some dining reservations and looked at the Daily Iwa for our dates. I'd like to know if it is worthwhile to email or call the resort to let them know our circumstances. This will be a very special and emotional trip for us.
