It's Saturday!! Good morning everyone. Any plans for today?

I have to go in to work tonight at 10p so I really don't want to do a lot today. We have a couple of questions for Enterprise about the car we're renting and when we have to return it. Hopefully we'll get the answers we're looking for. It mostly has to do with how I'm going to get down to SoCal again for New Years since the coverage from our insurance will expire long before then. I am hoping my car is not recovered and I can go get a new car, but the likelihood that we would get paid out by then so I can go car shopping is practically non-existent. I don't see this being closed in under 30 days, especially after the second theft. They would want to be sure it's not a scam, which we know it's not, but I get it. They already had a lot more questions to ask when we made the second claim.

Otherwise, I want a lazy day! I hate Saturdays.

I'm working on my PhotoPass photos! Still!! I also have my work Christmas party today. I am supposed to bring a white elephant gift but unless I regift the giftcard from last year I don't have anything for it.

I did get an extension for free on my Photopass pics so at least I don't have to get finished with those today! Since I am only halfway through it's probably going to take me the entire extension period to get them done. They said the more photos in the account the slower it will be I think they need some better servers to handle them!

I'm working on my PhotoPass photos! Still!! I also have my work Christmas party today. I am supposed to bring a white elephant gift but unless I regift the giftcard from last year I don't have anything for it.

I did get an extension for free on my Photopass pics so at least I don't have to get finished with those today! Since I am only halfway through it's probably going to take me the entire extension period to get them done. They said the more photos in the account the slower it will be I think they need some better servers to handle them!

Better servers, better layout ... they do need to rework something it seems. Man, you just gotta start early. I better be prepared when I go in to edit mine. Well, whenever I get around to uploading them in the first place which wont be until the first week of January with my current plan.

I have a super busy weekend. I might not be around very often. I got my photos on my computer and weeded down the bad ones, but yet to really fix them up and get a trip report ready. December is so crazy. I have a full day at work and then tonight is a party for Frank Sinatra's birthday that my friend does every year at a hotel downtown. A great excuse to get dressed up. Have a good weekend everyone!

OK, call me silly, but what is a white elephant gift?

A White elephant gift is a general gift for a certain $$ amount. Some people do gag gifts but usually its kinda like a mystery gift.

Everyone brings one gift and then you draw numbers. Whoever has #1 gets to pick a gift first. They are all wrapped so you can't see what they are. They then open the gift. Person #2 then has the option to steal person #1's gifts or take a new gift. Person #3 can steal either of the previous person's gifts or take there own. If a gift is stolen the person that had their gift stolen has the option to take a new gift or steal one of the others. A gift can be stolen up to 2 times. Once it is stolen the second time that person then doesn't have to worry about it being stolen again. This continues until all gifts are claimed. It's generally fun as there are one or two gifts that everyone wants.

There can be different rules depending on the group but those are the rules I have seen.

Ah!! I get it. That's exactly like what we do with our Ugly Ornament game at our family Christmas party every year. I need to remember that's next Sunday so I need to find a really ugly ornament this year.

We're here, well in California anyway.
Right now we are in Corona. DH is buying aircraft parts for a friend at home.
Apparently the shipping is hideously expensive to order from Australia, so we are taking it with us.

I am so happy to be somewhere sunny. We'll be at Disneyland early this evening.

Nope I was in Sacramento and I have a few pictures to post.

We just checked into the HoJo. We have a room on the 2nd floor of building 4 overlooking the pirate swimming area. We are contemplating walking over to Downtown Disney to get some dinner. And do dome shopping, but don't tell DH that part!

I hope you reported it if someone's been bothering you here on the DIS. I learned that lesson the hard way and I'm kicking myself for not doing it before. But that's a whole 'other story not worth getting into.

Sorry about your car! I feel your pain in a way. While mine wasn't involved in an accident it was stolen twice in the past month and it's just ... I have no words anymore.

I've been MIA! Working and trying to get my Photopass pics edited to order my CD. My October pics expire in 1.5days! Eeks... too bad the PP site keeps giving me issues!! I'm getting so aggravated with it!

Hey Michele So what did you end up doing during the concert last night?

We talked to Enterprise, and yeah we can keep the car at a rate of $21.50/day so to keep it until I get back from SoCal for New Years would end up being another $200 something. Ugh. This whole thing is getting expensive. Do we get reimbursed for that if insurance is already covering the original $450? I'm so confused. But at least I know I have a car to use since my family will be going to Monterrey for New Years and I can't borrow my moms CRV.

Hi guys!! Well lastnight was the big Family Force 5 concert and I finally got to see HP and TDH. It was fantastic!!

And the girls said the concert was great too.

I have pictures from the concert, but the movie I just have opinions. Number one on my hit parade was the fact that I have always thought Lucius Malfoy was hot but, alas in this movie he is but a shadow of his former hotness. Number 2 does anyone have any idea who played the number one snatcher? He is my new favorite villain. Hmm. I am glad that movie wasn't in 3d I think I would have wet myself if it was.

The concert is going to get it's own set of posts.

I so, so wish I could drive the CRV. I really like it, lol. My mom and I were just looking at some cars a minute ago. I hate looking at stuff right now when I don't know (a) if my car is going to stay gone this time and (b) how much we would get back if it did. Until I know that, I don't want to look at cars!! She doesn't get that, lol. But I need something that I can afford, sheesh.

My girls are great at waiting in line. My guess is that it is the Disney gene that makes it so. So they were in a rush to get there goodness knows Kody wanted to be first to meet FF5 and Forever the Sickest Kids. Much more so FF5. She loves them, they are her happy music.

This is the venue. It is in the K st mall area, if you are not familiar and I am sure most people aren't it is a street that has been closed to public vehicles and is only used by emergency vehicles and city vehicles like buses.

The girls with FF5. Kody's night was made. Now on her feet were what she calls her FF5 shoes. They are gold Converse and FF5 has worn gold sneakers in videos.

A lot of waiting time until the 8 o'clock concert started so there were a lot of down right silly pictures taken.

I thought this was a funny picture of them sharing the scarf.

This is one of the other bands that played.

You need to have some way to identify them as villains without being told so!! It's also why they wear all black

I just don't want to get my heart set on car and then either have mine turn up again (crossing my fingers this doesn't happen) or it end up being more than I can really afford. Then again with money I get back from mine I'll be able to make a larger down payment which would help with lower car payments. I just don't want to be paying off another 5 year loan, lol. But I do want a new car ...
