Boy, it really is quiet around here! Just saw DD6 in her holiday chorus performance at school. She is a little ham! So cute.

One of my best friends did this Get Fit Challenge for our Boot camp, put in 20 bucks, 8 weeks of work, whoever loses the biggest % of their starting weight/inches wins - and she won! She gets over $400. We are going out tonight to a karoake bar with some other friends. Unlike my hammy daughter, I doubt I will sing

Anyone here of a 3/1 hybrid VA loan?

I know what a 3/1 paydown loan is, did that when my ex and I bought our house. It was neat, we paid more down and they put it towards our balance but in a way that it made our monthly payments lower for the first 3 years. So for the first year our monthly payment was $800 a month, then it was up to $900, then it went up to $1000 then it went up to our regular monthly payment of $1100 a month. Those are guesses, it's been years since we did it but it really helped us get into a house with payments we could afford.

Hey everyone, how's it going for you all? I've been MIA from most of the threads I contribute to here for the past week or so. I've been super busy getting ready for Christmas, Jade's bday (next Wed) and trying to find work. Still no news on whether unemployment will be extended, if it's not I only have 3 weeks left...NOT good!!!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me that it gets approved so I get an extention!!!! I was sort of counting on that because I had heard elsewhere it was already approved. Not that I'm not looking for work, I am, I send out at least 10-20 resumes per week so I'm definitely looking. I'm just not getting interviews of any kind.......
I'm getting ready to paint my toesies, I'm going with Thanks So Muchness (from Alice in Wonderland) with green glitter on top. Tonight I'm going to Sacramento to go see a band that my friend likes play. That should be fun!! This weekend we are getting our tree and decorating so I'm looking forward to that, it's time to feel the Christmas spirit.

It's my DD's birthday today. She's 10. I'm a bit upset with my family (mostly my dad). Ever since he got remarried he's been distancing himself from his kids, he see's her kids/grandkids more than he sees us. Before he got remarried, he'ld call and see how were doing, ask when the next birthday is, what our plans are for the next major holiday. Not the case any more. My DD got a call from my Mom (who lives 6 hours north of us) to say happy birthday and she got her a present. My Mom lives with my Grandma and her only income is disablilty. My Dad didn't even call to say happy birthday. Even her dead beat father called to wish her happy birthday.

I feel your pain. My mom is great with my kids, my dad is deceased but he would have been great. My in-laws on the other hand oy. We found out my MIL was moving out of town on FB. I mean really? And she never called or visited when she lived in town. Of course this is my fault, how I am not sure.

Right now we are in Corona. DH is buying aircraft parts for a friend at home.
Apparently the shipping is hideously expensive to order from Australia, so we are taking it with us.

I hope you reported it if someone's been bothering you here on the DIS. I learned that lesson the hard way and I'm kicking myself for not doing it before. But that's a whole 'other story not worth getting into.

Sorry about your car! I feel your pain in a way. While mine wasn't involved in an accident it was stolen twice in the past month and it's just ... I have no words anymore.

You can do it! You can do it! If worse comes to worse, they have extensions you can purchase or something. Not that spending more than the $60 is such a great idea but it's an option.

I'm holding out on my PP pics. I want to get as much on it as possible and I know I'm going at the end of the month as well. So .. I forget. How long after being taken/uploaded do they expire?

I can do it if the website cooperates! I am thinking of calling to complain in the morning and see if they will extend the expiration date due to the issues I've been having.

You have 30 days from the date the first one was taken to add them to your account. I added mine at 29 days just to be safe.

That's what I thought. 30 days to add the photos. Then it's another 30 days before you have to order. Alrighty, alrighty. I don't think I'll be getting another trip within that time frame but I might as well act as though it's a possibility.

I've spent 2 hours and have gotten one photo edited. I keep having to log out and back in and then it locks up. I'm getting so annoyed!!

I am I just meant if I go again in January. I keep counting the New Years trip as December because it will still be December when I leave, lol. So I meant on top of that trip. And yes.. this is getting ridiculous! Last weekend I had NO pictures showing up and now it keeps giving me errors. I'm SO very annoyed! Plus I have pictures that are missing that they have said they weren't able to load to my account due to technical difficulties... Grrr!!

I was just curious about the loan if anyone had any info if it was worth it. The VA hybrid loan starts out at 3% for 3 years. After that the loan gets reworked and can go up or down only 1% per year not to exceed 8% for the life of the loan. The new rate is based on the remainder of the loan. It's liked getting refinaced every year and the loan amout gets lower every year.

If you qualify for the extension, it will automaticly happen. Mine did, no problems. It's a bit unsettling not knowing for sure, but unless something major happened (like you got a job or go to school) the extension will most likely happen.

I went christmas shopping today. We spent $500 on our kids.
