We got our Christmas Tree today. Those things are getting expensive. We also got some mistletoe, I have no idea where I'm going to hang it yet.

Here's another one Being a mom, stay-at-home or working, is NOT easy.

I agree with you about the Christmas tree $$! makes me even happier that we invested in a fake one a couple of years ago. That sucker is paid for already.

I heard about a deal yesterday about renting a live tree for Christmas. They deliver it and pick it up. I love the idea and I would so do it but it is for down in the San Jose area. We are too far out.

So, good plans today. I got a certificate for a massage at Burke Williams (this fancy shmancy spa chain) for mother's day. I finally booked one, and it's today at 11. 50 minutes of pure relaxation with aromatherapy.

Then tonight meeting up with some girlfriends at the Cheesecake Factory, belated birthday for me and one other girl/Christmas get together.

Speaking of birthdays and feeling old, yesterday one of my nephews on my husband's side commented on one of my FB photos (we had this spectacular sunset last night in San Jose) and he called me "auntie" - which is a Filipino respect thing for your elders - I felt SO old! Most days I feel my chronological age is way too big for my maturity level

We have a fake tree too but every couple of years I like to shake it up with a real one.

I'm here but have nothing much to report. My last couple of days have been full of:
extending travel insurance
cancelling my EI (dole, unemployment payments, whatever you call it - I don't get to earn it while I'm traveling)
sending Christmas cards
sending thank you cards for the presents from hubby's family
laundry, laundry and laundry
taking down our Christmas decorations
moving all my contacts from my old blackberry to my new iPhone (there has be a better way, than the way I did it)
On the phone with Disney booking the Holiday tour and making our dining reservations
More laundry
Finish packing all the gifts we are taking with us
Packing all the food we are taking with us
downloading movies and books and music for my iPad for the flights
oh and some drama with my inlaws

So boring, mundane stuff. But at least there is something exciting at the end of it all.
