Good afternoon!! And good morning!!

I have been a busy bee shopping for Thanksgiving stuff and still have more shopping tomorrow. I am going out at 6 AM tomorrow to get the rest of the stuff I need for Thursdays meal. I need to get a list going for the things I wasn't able to get at Costco. I did get a lovely ham which I wasn't going to get but Kacy doesn't like turkey. My kids are fun, Kody doesn't like pork and Kacy doesn't like turkey. It makes holiday cooking so fun.;)

My Thanksgiving = sleeping... Hubby and his mom are going out to dinner.

My mum has to put up with my fussy eating as well!

With your work schedule you need to rest so you don't get sick. Did you make chicken and dumplings last night.

They get it from their dad. There are so many foods he just will not eat. It makes cooking hard sometimes.

You should tell him to Man Up and eat what he is given :) Variety is the spice of life right :)

I did not make it last night.. I didn't have any biscuits after all... I bought a small can today when my MIL sent me to the store for a few things so I am going to make it tonight :thumbsup2

Sounds wonderful tonight.

Do I just heat the broth and drop the biscuits in?

Bring your broth to a boil like you would for pasta. I usually cut my biscuits so that they aren't too big. When it boils add your dumplings and turn your heat down. You want to cover the pan with a lid so that it cooks. Cook them about 10-12 minutes and make sure they aren't too doughy.

Thanks.. I just had some frozen yogurt (my MIL wanted some on my way back from the store and I got a small one for myself) so I'll probably make it a little later.

Oh I love the Berry one from Costco! I'm not sure if thats yogurt though.. I think its soft serve... I liked the fresh strawberries I put on mine more than I liked the actual yogurt lol.

It actually is yogurt. I have never had it. I love the swirled chocolate and vanilla.

I used to be a fussy eater. Both my brother and I were. I think it probably drove my mum insane.

Then when I was about 16 I developed a bunch of food allergies - no seafood, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, strawberries, no artificial colouring or flavouring, no MSG, no wheat, no dairy. It made for a whole lot of really, really, really bland meals. Did you know there is wheat in everything? Soy Sauce, salad dressings, shampoo (no I don't eat shampoo, but try finding shampoo without wheat protein).

It lasted about 4 years. I still can't eat strawberries, shellfish or crustaceans at all and I have to watch the amount of wheat and dairy that I consume. But now I will pretty much eat anything (except liver and kidney). Once everything was taken away from me, I got over the fussy eating thing pretty quickly.

That had to have been rough on you. Wheat protein in shampoo? Crazy stuff.

I bet you got over fussy eating real quick that way.

My ex had a wheat intolerance, it is in EVERYTHING

Yep, and it was 20+ years ago. You couldn't buy wheat free bread in the grocery store, my mum had to buy it from the kitchen at the local hospital!

In 1988 I went to Sydney for a World Scout Jamboree, every morning our unit camp cook went to collect the daily stores. He always came back with two sets, the first for the other 30 campers and then mine. My hamburger meat had to be separate because most hamburgers have bread crumbs, even my margarine had to be different because regular margarine has colouring. My stuff was all kept in a separate section of the cook tent to avoid cross contamination. Even so I ended up in the camp hospital twice within in a 10 day camp.

The good thing was my whole family all lost a lot of weight :rotfl2:

Wow... that had to be difficult!

How did you get over most of the allergies?

Oh that is so sad though too. I have a friend who's son is allergic to nuts. Halloween was so rough on him he couldn't eat most candies because most candy is made in plants where nuts are processed.
