I finally gave in today and turned on the heater. The house was 58 degrees, ugh waaaaaay too cold. And then when DH and I dragged down all the Xmas stuff from our garage loft (t-3 days 'til surgery) I had him get my cold weather clothes down also. We have tiny closets, and I have  a lot of clothes, so I have to do a switch out in the winter and the spring.

Am currently hating the fact that as I get older my metabolism slows down more and more. Exercise no longer makes up for eating, and I have to be super strict (something I'm not good at) or my weight goes up, up, up. I'm trying to get back down about 5-10 lbs. Pants are fitting tight :scared: and I don't like that :sad2:

I am terrible at controlling what I eat, I don't think I am overweight but a little chubby in ways. I am only 19 so I am dreading when my metabolism slows down :scared1:popcorn::

I've been attached by the sniffels and stuffy head monsters. I thought I was going to be able to out run them but they ganged up on me and tackled me down:sick: No gym for me today, but at least I did good with my food today.

When I was 19 I thought I was chubby, too. I look back at pictures of me back then and I wish I still had that figure.

Hi! I'm home from work, and home alone tonight apparently. I read through what I missed but am probably not going to comment on it all ;)

I'm starving and am going to go see what I can make for dinner.

Only 2 more days till the weekend and tomorrow is pay day :cheer2:

Pay day is always awesome!!

I will be sending my best for your DH's surgery!!

And I'm with you on the metabolism. I'm still young, 24, but I can't keep 'coasting' like I have been. Then again, up until this past year I have been fairly active between swimming and the dance classes I was taking. Getting healthy/in shape now would have been so much easier if I had started to make these changes to my eating habits a long time ago. But when you're younger you don't always think 4 or 5 years down the road when it comes to what you're eating. I have a lot of damage to make up for, lol.

The best thing to do is make the changes you need to now!! I'm already learning that the hard way.

I took out a pork roast from the freezer, but hubby said cause I wasn't feeling well that we could order out. We had chineese.

Such a thoughtful mom. ;)

I try.:goodvibes

I suggest THIS to anyone that is cold! Super soft and comfy and warm! and you can bring your hand in the sleeves when the fingers get too cold.

That looks lovely.:cloud9:

Is it the weekend yet? :headache:

My weekend starts tomorrow. The kids have a four day weekend and I don't have to go out in the morning for those four days and I couldn't be happier.

I wish! At least you are closer to it than we are, Tink from the future.

Not a good day for you either?

I love that you call her Tink from the future.:rotfl:

Umm... It is for me! After working 8 days straight I am off for 3. I go back to work Thursday night.

You need those three days just to catch up with real life.

Only 2 more days till the weekend and tomorrow is pay day :cheer2:

I love payday. It is my favorite day of the week.

I turned the heater on today but it didn't actually turn on. I hate that the thermostat is downstairs and it is never warm in the winter or cool in the summer.

Hi there!!

DS and I are watching Cars (I get a break from NBC and Spongebob) Mater cracks me up.:lmao:

I wish I could turn on the heater.. not so much now but in another month I'm sure! However... SOMEONE took out a piece of venting from under the house and it hasn't been replaced so therefor nothing but space heaters for us!

I need to lose oh... about 50-60lbs but I've lost about 20 this year and feel much more comfortable with myself. I hate exercise and I have NEVER had a metabolism. I've lost the weight mainly by reducing the eating out and eating at home.

I cut pork loin into pork steaks and we are having potatoes with them. I was so cold today I needed comfort food.

I know I sure did. I always have though, to be honest.

But, you are not!!

Oh I bet you are glad for that break.

I had a friend that bought a house and they didn't have it inspected and winter came and they realized that they had no heating system in their house. It was one of the coldest winters in our area. She was so sick.

Oh my, I seriously ate like crap my teen years, early 20s. Like fries and a frosty from Wendy's as a regular meal. I got away with it by being active and having a pretty good metabolism. Then the weight crept on, I lost about 20 pounds when I was 28 (can you say wedding diet). I did pretty good losing the baby weight after DD6 was born when I was 30, but now that I'm heading into my upper 30s I am finding that I can't splurge like I used to - my pants get tight so fast! I'm trying to be good but it is SO hard. I actually like exercise (stress relief) but it's the food thing that I struggle with. I really enjoy food. It doesn't help that DH is a good cook and I'm a good baker.

Oh no! That's awful :( At least our weather is (relatively) mild and the space heaters work pretty good. We have this weird layout where DS17's room is tucked away in the farthest corner of the house separate from the other 3 bedrooms, and our heating system just doesn't work so great in his room. The space heater we bought (Holmes brand?) works good in there though :thumbsup2

But, you are not!!

And logically I know this. But I wish certain areas were smaller, lol. But my body isn't built for it. Now I just want to get into shape. Because I have no musk-les (because I love saying it like that).

One of the first things I checked was to make sure the AC and heater worked when we bought our house.

Agreed!

I'm a foodie, too. I have a small collection of cook books and I love to bake. Pasta is one of my favorites. It's so easy to mix the sauces, add some chicken and veggies, and pour it over some type of noodle.

If you keep dancing, you'll get some really great looking legs. Even when you get older your legs will hold their shape.
