Oh no, oh no, oh no. I hope they recover it soon! My brother's gf's car was stolen earlier this year and found down the street. A bunch of stuff was stolen(including something from the engine) but her insurance paid it all back. I'm sorry this happened to you. So scary.

We'll see what happens. Ugh. You know the expression "when it rains, it pours"? Yeah, it's pouring right now. My stomach totally dropped when I saw we had no cars in front of the house. I'm not going to try and get my hopes up on how/if it's going to be returned. And even if it doesn't and we have to get a new car ... I don't know.

Me too. Or just some guy who got out of the jail (we live pretty close) out here and just needed a ride.

But like I said, I am not going to get my hopes up. It only leads to serious disappointment.

Wanna know something else ironic? I used to park across the street next to an empty parking lot for a business we live next too. For 5 years. Never once did I have my car touched over there. It's been what ... one week, maybe 2 ... since my mom's car was totalled by the insurance company so I've been parking in front of the house. Now something happens to my car.

I have been looking at hairstyles online and honestly I don't want one that I need to straighten my hair for. That is not my idea of fun. I want an almost wash and wear style.

I know what you mean about hairstyles. It doesn't help that my hair type doesn't mix well with the whole wash and go thing. But I'm too lazy to straighten it all the time.

That's pretty much #1 on our list, but we feel as if we might miss something "state-side" by doing the obvious. Which island do you prefer?

I am not a huge HI expert - I've only been to 1, because that's where friends and family live - Oahu. A lot of people knock Oahu but really -- it's gorgeous and fun and if you have kids, especially smaller kids you can't beat Oahu for activities. They have the most beautiful beach (Lanikai) on the windward side of the island ... North Shore ... Waikiki for shopping and people watching ... etc.

Then we went to the Disney Store!!! There wasn't as huge a selection of adult t-shirts as I'd hoped, but we managed to get some stuff

I've been pretty disappointed with the Disney Store the last few times I've been. Only DD6's Alice costume (40% off) has gotten me to open my wallet in there lately.

I'm incredibly picky too. I did buy my last 4 pairs(2 regular, 2 sunglasses) at this website called zennioptical.com

OH this looks so awesome!!! I've been wanting to buy new glasses but the cost is sooooo prohibitive. I will definitely check this out

I'm debating what to do with my TR's, or at the very least this years Halloween Time report and any that come once I get my AP. I'm thinking of either (a) making another never-ending thread for them all -- Take 2.5 or something -- or (b) moving them into a blog offsite.

I think we should do more stuff in the Northern California section for sure. I read someone's post that "San Jose is a dump" or something like that last week and... I don't want a lot of that.

I think SJ has an inferiority complex but it's in no way a dump! You could say the same thing about Anaheim -- there are some SUPER sketchy parts of that town, some more dump-y than San Jo, that's for sure.

My hair is long and naturally straight. On the day's I "do" my hair, it doesn't take long, just a blow dry. DH wants me to get a new style and be all pretty all the time, just no makeup. I saw a layered kind of Fara Faucet style that I liked.

Belle that sucks about your car...I hope they find it!! As for the repairs, do you have reciepts? If so make sure you include them with your insurance claim to prove you just paid that, maybe you'll get some of it back.
So I was thinking about going shopping tomorrow, not major shopping but I need to pick a few things up so thought tomorrow would be good. today we are taking our little rescued kitten to the vet, I think they will by happy with his progress. I think I'll grab some lunch with DD while we are out, she just got home from school. Such a weird schedule this week.....oh and I'm cold today.....sitting here with a sweatshirt on. brrrrrrr

I desperately need a new hairstyle. I haven't had even a trim since January! It is SO long overdue but I don't know what I want and I hate paying so much for a haircut I am usually not happy with after I wash it the first time.

As for the cold! I agree BRRR! I'm sitting here in my brookstone snuggie (so much more comfy than a regular snuggie!) with the space heater on.
