I had to have cough syrup with codeine once and they didn't even try to add a flavoring to that. It was thick, gooey, and just tasted wretched.

cough syrup w/codeine is my friend. LOL I get that when I have bronchitis, it makes me sleep and helps me heal faster. I may not like the taste but I sure love the effect after.

ROFL!!!! I had an eyebrow issue....LOL I plucked but I also use a small razor to trim the longer lashes instead of plucking so I was trimming and I slipped and cut a little more then I meant to! LOL So I have a wild eyebrow right now. LMAO!!

Honestly, it would probably be good for me. I need something in my life that will stop my brain from wandering. That's what gets me into trouble with my panic attacks and anxiety.

I did try cross-stitch a while back. That didn't work out so well.

I do x-stitch, it's a lot of fun! I have a few projects lined up but I'm not working on one right now. I also make jewelry, mostly bracelets.

You can get learn how to knit or learn how to crochet kits at Michael's. And start with a cheaper yarn and it actually can be a cheap hobby. I buy cheap yarn and make scarves for the homeless.

you should see the project I'm working on. It's for my Mom, so it's for a good cause. But I didn't look at the size of the finished product. It has 24 pages of pattern. Each page takes me a month to do if I work on it 6 hours a day (remember I'm unemployed). Do the math, I'll wait. . . .

DD14 got a call from her Gpa today, he has an old laptop that he wants to see if she can use. It's sunny over here too. After such a rainy Sunday! Kind of chilly though. It actually feels like Fall!

Not much going on today. DD6 has minimum days this week (only a 3 day week due to Veteran's day) and I've been doing the oh-so-fun bill paying online. I hate this time of year since property taxes are due on 12/10. Can you say the worst time of the year for a big bill? We save up the money in our savings, so we're ready, but I'll miss seeing that extra little cushion once I transfer over the money and write out that stooopid check

Last whine - once DH gets home from smog-checking one of our cars, we're pulling down the Xmas stuff and putting away the Halloween stuff - we are trying to get as much done as possible this week since on Friday he goes in for surgery (torn rotator cuff ) and will be out of commission for awhile. I'm so thankful for the DIS and all of you right now , it keeps my mind on happier things

Totally. I started once it started getting breezy, but I had to put the knitting on hold for the crazy Indian Summer this year.

I managed to make these before it got too hot to go on though.

Wow, this is really nice work. One of the things I would like to do someday.
