Just because we need another Chat Thread

My family is Swedish and my Mormor(grandma) spoke it but never taught anyone. I've always wanted to learn, plus I think it will be a little funny to learn a language that very few people around here know.

One of my girlfriends is Swedish (born and raised, came here as an au pair and stayed), she and her husband actually went to live there for 2 years, and came back a little over a year ago. She hates the weather there, likes it here in the Bay Area much better and actually dreams of moving to Maui

Just having a lazy day in general. I feel so over-stuffed. Way too much red meat over the past couple of days or something.

So last night, we went to my parent's for dinner, and on the way home, stopped by a local house light show. I found out via FB that Paula and I missed each other by minutes It really is a small world ...

Red meat nasty's ... It's true, isn't it? Dh and I were just looking at each other and wondering what to eat for dinner. Both of us had the same thought - NO red meat. We have leftover roast in the fridge, and as yummy as it was, the thought of eating it is

But then DD15 convinced Grammy to come pick her up and take her and DD6 to the mall. DS is working at the grocery store, So DH and I have a date night of sorts. We're gonna hit up a chicken place I think

About Paula - I know right??! We definitely need to have a bay area get together sometime

Nice one! I was trying so hard to find a good ornament to do that with but only found this small no so clear one on the banister so I made do, lol. But I'm so ridiculously excited about this lens!

Then learning Swedish is very fitting! I kind of wish we had enough history in my family to really know what anyone is (well, I know enough on my grandparents side that I'm German and Italian) and my step-dad's family is Scottish, but everyone has been here too long to still be speaking another language. I wish I had a knack for it. I took French in HS and it never took well so I am scared of trying to learn another language, let alone what it would be.

But that's too funny about you and Paula! It's truly funny how close we all kind of are, at least those of us in the Bay Area. And I'll totally be in SJ soon enough. Well, to visit my cousin and do lunch and I've still got to get myself to a Sharks game before I lose my darn mind.

As if I haven't eaten enough in the past couple of days, we're having some friends over for a big dinner. I'm so never fitting in my clothes again. Ever.

We had lasagna last night. Tonight is Mickey chicken nuggets. I am not feeling the cooking right now.

My mom has always really believed it that kind of thing. I am not a believer of that or psychics. She loves both.

I never remember my dreams. It is a real rare dream that I remember.

There are times I'll wake up and go "Uh... what was that about". Then when I try to tell my hubby about it, I can't remember most of it.


We had pizza for dinner. I'm packing getting ready to go to my Mom's for the week. I had to buy new pants cause I only own 2 pairs (was 3 yesturday but the snagged on something at the hip and made a big rip) that fit me. The rest of my cloths are for exersizing. I also picked up a new ipod car charger/fm player connector. I plugged it all together to discover it dosen't work. So now I have to go back to target on the way to Mom's to exchange it (hubby won't let me go tonight).

We had some family friends over and as a joke we broke out all the fancy place settings after we had a conversation with one of them about how he was brought up with those strict formal dinner tables. It was fun. Minus the getting everything out, lol.

I did get it, totally forgot! I saw it this AM when I got online before going to bed so I just read it and went to bed. I did set up my Tumblr the other night. I'll send you the link. But again, as with my blog, I haven't started anything yet. I may just use Tumblr for my 52 week photo challenge starting the 1st week of January and then start um my Blogger blog then too with New Years!

I'm so anal about stuff like that. Oops.
