The Nook plays music too?

Yeah, I can. That was one of the main reasons I bought the Nook, that and the fact that I can expand the memory space and I can have an extra battery to take if I go camping.

And does that differ from the Kindle? I'm totally clueless on it all, but I know my mom is looking into the two. Although she'll probably go for the Kindle because she got a free download of it for her PC and already has hundreds of books for Kindle on it.

No, you cannot add space to the Kindle, but i do know you can add music to it. The only downfall with that is that music takes up so much space and you want space for you books too. And you cannot change the battery in the Kindle. That was a major selling point with me.

There is a program that you can get for free on your computer called calibre that will change the format of the ebook to the format that your reader uses. So you get books from other places and conform them to your reader.

No need to be sorry. I asked, didn't I?

We are very uncreative with dinner here. Just tater tots and chicken strips, lol.

I am not all that creative. I make homemade chicken noodle soup frequently. And ironically my niece and I were discussing what I will be making for dinner on the 28th and she wants chicken and dumplings. Not very festive but there is nothing better than comfort winter foods when the weather is like it is now.

Oh and that program can be found at calibre.com. And it's free.

Oh man!! I love chicken and dumplings. Yum, yum, yum. I could gorge myself on that until I quite literally exploded. I had so many helpings the last time my mom made some I could hardly move. Mehtinks it's time to make some again. Maybe I'll help. Then again, I want to be able to eat it.

Her son Peanut(who's name is Jason but I am changing because of confusion) has never had chicken and dumplings. So she is real excited for him to try them. I cheat though and make my dumplings from bisquick or even refrigerator biscuits even. But, my broth tends to always be homemade.

Haha, Peanut :rotflL Sounds like a wise decision. It gets confusing when you talk about mutlpiple people with the same name. I work with 3 Jessica's who all have the same last initial!! It's insane. Well, we're back down to 2 of us again.

That has to make it really confusing a work.:rotfl:

Yeah his mom Stephanie has always called him Peanut, so I figure that I will. It will make it less confusing.

I love this picture. I'm not quite sure why.

Hi ladies.

Kacy, perhaps it is the look in his eyes that you see?

Kody nice way to jump in!!

mmmm chicken & dumplings sounds so good!!! Michele, give me the recipe please! :) :) I made chicken breasts and roasted veggies tonight. I put the chicken in the oven with seasonings and put the veggies in their own dish next to it, it smells heavenly but Micah isn't home yet so we haven't eaten. I also made a cabbage salad, NO clue what it will taste like but it's cabbage (purple) with red onion and broccoli in rice vinegar, hopefully it's awesomely yummy too. :)

So the girls Gpa is giving them a Nook for Christmas, so we will have 2. :) I can add music to mine but haven't yet, I was considering putting my play list on a memory card tho and using it to listen to music while I'm waiting for the oil change tomorrow. Last time it was a 3 HOUR wait for an oil change.......I had my Nook but would have loved music too. :) I've never used the music feature tho so I'm not sure how much it would drain the battery.

Oh no problem Kerri. The recipe is so easy. Your dinner sounds so good. It sounds like Micah gets home late like Scotty does. My kids would fight like little animals over a Nook. Although if they continue to put text books available for them then I intend to get one for her. She goes to college next year.:scared1:

I haven't loaded my music to it but I bet it eats batteries. I saw on bestbuy.com a battery for it and it was under $20. I am going to get one. I figure I can never have too many batteries.

My daughter is a "Big Time Rush" freak. I think they are the new "Jonas bros".:)

I so totally agree. My "Big Time Rush" fan is a big fan of the Jonas Brothers as well. Only she is 16 and older than most of the fan base.:rotfl:

Hiiii!

Obviously it's the busy, busy time for me like I've said! I hardly had a weekend. I went to a craft fair in SF on Sunday and finished all my Christmas shopping(I felt like Santa walking out of there because my bag was so heavy), and I baked from morning until night yesterday. I made chocolate chip cookies, chocolate decadence, ginger(not gingerbread), lemon rosemary shortbread, fudge, and sea salt caramels. Yum yum yummy.

Now I am making some dinner for my brother and me because he is here making gingerbread and wrapping gifts. Baked potatoes... such a culinary master, I am :rotfl:
