Just got back 7/6 - 7/16. It was hot and humid. My husband said no way in July would he go back again. Usually go in October. We followed Tour guide mikes plan and it worked like a charm!! We waited only 15-20 minutes each ride for every park. Went to MK on a Friday night (EMH night) thinking it wouldn't be bad (not tour guide mikes plan). Wall to wall crowds until 11:00 when we left. Every ride had at least an 80 minute wait with no fast passes!! Don't do it! We used a day pass and only went on 3 rides. And don't think it cools down by going when the sun goes down. It is just as hot! We stayed at the fort wilderness cabins. Did parasailing and fishing. Any questions? Thanks.

What was the parasailing like? We are thinking about this for December (Christmas week) trip. Is there an age or weight restriction? Do you start off from in the water (ie on water skis) or on beach (running) or what?

Thx in advance for all answers. :earsgirl:

Wow...I can & can't wait for our August trip...we've been having 92 degree weather every day so far so I've been "training" my self for the heat & humidity
I'm ready to be a fried egg! :sunny: LOL

THANK YOU!

CAN YOU SHARE WITH ME MIKE'S PLAN!

Parasailing was great but not if you are afraid of heights. I am a little "chicken" so my 11 year old went with me and he loved it. You can see alot of magic kingdom. Sammy Duvell (the ones that run it) are great. They are very helpful and you even land on your feet - which I couldn't believe because I thought I would be right on my rear end! They will even dip you if you want!

I have questions about tour guide mike. Is is a plan specific for you or is it just general guidelines?

Parasailing sounds awesome! How did you like the Cabins? We stayed there our first 3 trips. I miss them - they are very nostalgic for us. I always thought they were a great deal & a real hidden gem.

Hi everybody..

Tourguide mike is the way to go if you go in peak season. We went on spring break last year and it was awful so I decided to try mike for this summer. He gives you a itinerary to follow. There is different ones for the ages of your party. We have twins 11 years olds so we basically hit the thrillers. It is not an itinerary for you personally. The website also gives you a list of what parks are good to go for what days. He also breaks it up if you park hop so you know what parks to go to in the am and the pm. It works because the one day I went to MK (it was last Friday) the place was packed, all the fast passes gone by 5:00 and even by 11:00 you couldn't move. It was a EMH night so we could of stayed to 2:00 but I don't think the lines got any better. All the rides (and I mean every one) has at least a 60 minutes wait (some had 100 minutes).

The cabins are great! I love them because my kids are kinda loud and here you didn't have to worry about bothering anyone. It is like having your own little house in the woods with all the disney magic. Also, we saved alot by eating right there.

We flew down this time but the last 3 times we drove. We pulled a RV so we took the "scenic" route and it wasn't the fastest way but much more relaxing. My friend has AAA and she ordered me a trip tik for that route. PM me if you want the directions. Thanks.

Same for me.. I think all of the information will still be true. Just PM me :)

go to www.tourguidemike.com -- the plans are pretty dependent on when you are going, which days you're doing what, and who makes up your party. Me personallyI won't sell out on Mike, and share his tips that are not mine to share, but I will tell you that his site ends up FULL of info. You have to look for it, which is time consuming. But he not just gives a suggested itinerary (or several, actually), he specifically gives his reasoning. We deviated from our TGM plans over Easter vacation, but were able to get excellent results by thinking like Mike would have.

It was money well spent. I had the unofficial guide too, and used it as a reference at my fingertips. But I printed out many TGM pages of info to take into the parks with me. AND.......I renewed my membership for our August trip.
