We just returned from a fabulous trip to WDW. I'm so sad to be back but the trip was great! It rained quite a bit but that did not stop us from having a good time. The heat was tough though. We're used to traveling in cooler months so we had a hard time adjusting our schedules to accomodate the heat. Ex. with 90 degree temps and high humidity it's really hard to go, go, go all the time. For those traveling this summer, don't forget to take breaks and drink lots of water. It sounds obvious but you forget when you're having fun! The crowds were not too bad, though MK was really crowded on Monday. Soarin' in a MUST see attraction!!! We rode it 3 times and absolutely loved it. If you're afraid of motion sickness, I would not worry. I am very prone to it and it did not bother me at all. The Flower & Garden Festival was great and we were happy to see it. Loved IASW as well :) We met two Disers, mommystieg and shatzjsl  Let me know if you have any questions :flower:

welcome back, I was there the last week of may and all we kept saying was "If this is hot imagine july and august". Anyway hope you had a good time

We go in a couple weeks and I hope we don't run into the rain. Here in Michigan for the past week it has been 90's. Actually I am kinda glad because we are getting used to the heat and we are already tanned for our trip. :)

I am glad that you liked Soarin. I do get motion sickness but I keep hearing that this is so good. My DH and DS are still trying to get me on Splash Mountain. I just can't do the drop. ::MickeyMo

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. How great that you were able to meet mommystieg and shatzjsl . I would love to meet them.

Same here...spent 6 days last week and the rain was manageable, but it sure didn't help the humidity...

I totally agree with you about Soarin! and those with motion sickness...did just fine even without my dramamine! Didn't you love the pine scent as you flew over the trees? It was DH's favorite part.

Welcome Back! :sunny: I leave in 11 days! I was just wondering if Wonders of Life was open while you were there? What about the Timekeeper?

No kidding...I was there this past April and in the last week of May (SOLO) and could not understand how the Summer people do it. May was pretty brutal but I found ways to cope. If interested, you can check out my trip report by following the links below. The SOLO report is getting interesting...weird reading about some dude that takes off to WDW by himself. When I read my first trip report just like the one I am writing now (SOLO guy), it inspired me to start writing them.

Well, glad the poster of this thread had fun and thanks for the update upon returning...I just love when people post right when they get back! It lets me know what the parks are like at everytime of the year...pretty cool.

I LOVED Soarin'!! It's my new favorite ride :flower: I laughed when I read about your fear of Splash because I too am terrified of the drop! It's DHs favorite ride and we got stuck on it twice while on our honeymoon and eventually had to be evacuated. Not fun...I panicked. Anyway, I have not been on it since and DH begged me to go on it this time claiming that he wanted to cure me of my fear...LOL. I reluctantly agreed but when it came time for the drop I buried myself in his lap until we hit the bottom....when we looked at the picture that was taken, it looked like DH was riding alone...did not even see me...LOL....anyway, what I realized about Splash Mt. is that for the most part it's a pretty tame ride and if you can get past the big drop, it is fun. Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks! We had a great trip dispite the heat and rain....Timekeeper was open and truthfully, I did not notice about Wonders of Life...sorry. However, we did Turtle Talk for the first time this trip and it was awesome!! If you have not done that yet, do it. You won't regret it. Lucky you leaving in 11 days...have a great time!!

Welcome back! How did you like the Stitch Adventure?

Stitch is not my favorite attraction but it's not terrible. If you've never done it I would try it. It's along the same lines as Alien Encounter but I liked Alien much better....HTH.....

We did Stich this trip and were really disappointed, prefering the old Alien Encounter, too. Stich just wasn't amusing to us, nor suspensful like AE and OMGoodness does Stich's breath reek or what? Another complaint is that because so many people think Stich is this adorable little creature that their 2 year olds will just love Stich's Great Escape...WRONG!!! The lights go out and they all get scared and start crying and fretting, which detracts from the experience itself. So, word of caution to those with small children who get frightened with darkness...total darkness...and being told that something has gone wrong and it is on the loose...do not take your kids to Stich...wait a couple of years till they can handle the attraction.

As for Wonders of Life, when we were at Epcot on Monday 6/6, it was closed...another disappointment for us as we've never experienced any of the attractions there. Ah, we can hope for December when we return to the Mouse's House.
