Hi Everyone!

We just got back last night! What a fabulous trip! We are all sad to be back and my little one is a bit tearful today . It was a great vacation and I will post a trip report, I just need a bit of time to get things together at home. Feel free to ask any questions. I took lots of great pictures and will post a link to them as soon as I get them up. I wanted to get some pictures for Barry but I didn't - sorry. I was nervous because I used almost all of my 128 memory chip! I also didn't make it to the meet on Sat. - I hope everyone had fun. We were about to enter US in the morning, when we noticed a huge group of cheerleaders at the entrance. I am talking HUGE. Now, I love cheerleaders, my niece cheers and I go to a lot of her competitions, but I just couldn't take this amount of them on my vacation . So, we did IOA that day, and went over to US for Mardi Gras. What a blast!!! The parade was so much fun and my kids got tons of beads. We stood by (but not in) the Little Jester's Area by Mel's Drive-In. The crowd was fun and not too wild, and my kids had a blast screaming and acting crazy for beads! I'm glad you decided to attend the parade...and am especially glad you didn't encounter rude adults and all you feared!!!

I saw all those cheerleaders too...omg!!!! I'm not a fan of cheerleaders (well, Im not going to completely stereotype them...so I'll say "most" lol...any better? ) and many drove me insane...especially a group that was at a Graveyard Revue. Let's just say, they were rude and yelling out at the performers DURING the show. They got in big trouble too.

Glad to hear you decided to give Madi Gras a try, and that you and your family enjoyed it!

I saw a few cheerleaders in the park on Sat., but not too many and it didn't affect my day.

only a FEW?! Slacking, are you blind?? LOL Although I think some of the girls were in more "dance" attire than cheerleading outfits. There were a gazillion at the GB Shows...I know that much!!

The cheerleaders/dancers I saw numbered at least over 200!!

Flyfly - I'm sorry they invaded the Ghostbusters show!!

Mardi Gras was a blast - there were quite a few "shot girls", but I didn't see anyone buying any. I think it may have been more rowdy near the front of the park. We didn't stay to see KC, but we heared Chic or whoever they were perform before the parade. They were great and I was surprized how many popular songs they had - I reconized a lot of them.

Sorry we did not run into you and your family ! We also had a great time,The weather really improved over Friday I thought i was back home in the cold and wind!

Hi DaddyDon,

I was hoping to spot you somewhere. Did you end up going to Mardi Gras?

One employee at the HRH pool said Friday was the first day since he has worked there they he remembers them shutting down the pool due to cold weather! Thank goodness it got warmer!

I saw a big group of cheerleaders on Sat. too ...fortunately as I was EXITING the restroom - they were ENTERING - can you imagine the "wait" if that had been timed differently!
