Arrived home yesterday from two week holiday. Had a excellant time. My first visit since 1994 and a lot has changed. I will post a detailed trip report during the week. Big thanks to Simon for his book. Certainly helped us out many times especially with the Airport and car hire info. Some initial comments: weather was superb apart from 1 cloudy day, 1 day with regular showers and 1 half day with rain. Otherwise it was mostly hot and on many days, humid. Crowds during first week were fairly busy, second week they were much more lighter apart from magic kingdom on Thursday (early entry and Spectromagic day) where the crowds were in my opinion quite heavy. My biggest tip to everyone is get there early!! I know its been told many times over the years but you will not believe how many attractions you can do in the first two hours of the day. Then you can start using fast pass and see the rest. Best rides I thought were: Mission Space, test track, Haunted House, Rock N Roller Coaster, TOT, POTC, ET, Spiderman, Dudley Do Rights, Men In Black, Jaws, Back to the Future, Journey to Atlantis and favourite of all Splash Mountain. See my trip report in the week for a detailed view of all the parks, driving, food, hotel etc etc.

Welcome back. Sounds like you had a magical trip!

Glad you had a great trip,looking forward to your trip report.::yes:: :wave2:

WELCOME BACK

My favorite of the new attractions is

MISSION SPACE ::yes::

Thanks everyone. It was a magical trip. The info I got from this board and from the Brits Guide made it a very trouble free trip. There are several possible pitfalls for the unwary traveller in Orlando. Weeks of planning, questions, reading etc certainly made the difference. Have to say though, I do not know how anyone manages to go to Orlando during the busy summer months. I certainly could not face the big queues in scorching heat and high humidity. I can see now why more and more people are taking their children out of school to go during the quieter months. BTW I was shocked to see how mant Brits were out there. I think if it wasn't for the Brits there I'm sure some of the theme parks would have shut on some days. Certainly the Universal parks and sea worlds seemed to have a higher proportion of Brits compared to other nationalities. Anyway off for some much needed sleep. Trip report to come during the week.

Glad you made it Jimmy! I agree about getting there early, and about the crowded, hot summers.
