For what its worth here is how we got on.
This was out third trip to DLP in 2 years. This time we has the family with us 7 adults and 5 kids. We stayed in the Newport Bay.
First off, never fly to CDG and try and get the TVG to DLP. Its a bloody nightmare. From the over crowded lifts to the idiotic up and down from 4th to 2nd and back up to 4th floor messing to the for no reason barriers to stop you taking a baggage trolly. Just get the bus from the airport. Even having to que for 25 misn to get ticket. and 180 quid return for 2 adults and 2 kids. for one stop. RIP OFF.
OK the hotel. as usual the Newport Bay is a great hotel. Nice large rooms. Heated swimming pool and the food is good, if the choice is a bit limited.
Have noticed the prices gone up. a beer is now 6.49 ( bloody hell ) and a bottle of Coke now a whopping 3.09. The old DLP rip off in full swing.
The changes at the main gates are very welcome, you dont have to be hassled by the sellers and have your bags checked several times before you get in.
The parks do seem to be less lively then last time. Saying that we enjoyed it more with less people in the parks. The que time was less than i remembered. Just wish half the rides where not broken down. In one day, Space MT, Indiana Jones and Thunder Mt all not running. Is money not being invested anymore?
The night show was great, but i was not paying 20 euros for a flashing skull cap. Looks like i was not the only one, as few people had them.
The smoking in the park is getting out of hand. People smoking in que, we even had one idiot trying to smoke on the RC Ride. Why are Disney not doing something about this. We also had the usual young French and Spanish kids jumping the que.
All in all Disney need to decide what they want to do with the place. To me its getting more expensive and becoming less worth it. We booked half Board, and i did some pricing before we went, for not much more, we could have gone to Florida. which is what we will be doing from now on. Its a real shame DLP is going to the dogs.
