Hi all,

Just got back from a jam packed 4 day weekend to DL. We had a blast! It was crazy busy on Saturday and Sunday and the weather was weird, but it didn't stop us.

We stayed at the Hyatt, went to the Halloween party on Friday and did the WOC dining package at Ariel's on Sunday.

Had so much fun!

I will be posting some pics and a trip report soon!!

Now off to plan another trip in February! LOL

I was there on Saturday too. Yup: very packed. Coincidentally, I plan to be back there in February as well. Great minds... ;-).

haha how funny I just got back from a weekend at DLR & I am planning to go back in February!! or possibly January!
I think my main reason for picking Feb is because I can't imagine it being crazy busy that time of year. I have never experienced DLR in off season times so I am curious to go to see just how much of a difference there will be in crowds! Especially after this weekend!

Saturday was NUTS!!!! Sunday was only nuts in the morning I think. Saturday night at like 11:30 it was still packed but Sunday night after fireworks I noticed the crowds got significantly smaller. And I agree the weather was odd! Luckliy I wasn't cold though, I wore shorts the entire time, only used a sweatshirt Saturday night and all day Sunday. & it never really rained, just misty at times.

Can't wait to read your TR! I'm still debating on if I wanna write one....

I have been to Disneyland in Feburary. The weather was faboulous (high of 75) very light crowds. The holiday overlay at HM was compleatly removed so we were able to enjoy the "original" HM. IASW's overlay was still coming down so the ride was closed.

Can't wait to read your trip report! How did you like the Hyatt?

Saturday was that busy to you? We were there, too. Went to DCA until about 1:30. After a nap for DD, went back to DCA for dinner, a few rides and ElecTRONica, then over to DL for a few rides and the fireworks. Maybe DL was packed but DCA sure didn't seem packed. And DL didn't seem too busy the hour before the fireworks either. Hmmm....

It was ok. Didn't like the bathrooms, the sink was inside of the bathroom. Also, the shuttle was nice but packed and the farthest stop away from the resort. We probably won't stay there again.

Can you elaborate on the bus stop? Do you mean that the drop off point at the hotel was a far walk? Did you use the Hyatt shuttle or ART? Curious because I will have my first stay there in December. Thanks!

Glad you had a great time! My wife and I will also be going in February (without kids even!). I am looking forward to (hopefully) light crowds, nice weather, and enjoying our time as adults for the first time together in DL.:cool1:

Sounds perfect! What days in February did you go? more towards the end or beginning of the month? I could stand missing IASW but I wouldn't wanna miss HM.

Yes, it was the Hyatt shuttle and it stopped in the white zone, which is the farthest spot away from the front gates. The hotels across the street are about the same distance. And it can get crowded and you may have to wait for the next shuttle, which is in a half hour. I would much rather stay across the street and walk over.

Towards the end, it was my first time paying for the trip so that would be about six years ago. Way back when I didn't know how to plan anything. I still had a good time but didn't know about reserving dinners, checking schedules, etc. Amazing what a little research can do.
