We just spent a great week at the parks! We stayed in the DLH. We were in the Magic tower and had a beautiful view of Disneyland. It was warm all week so our afternoon breaks were spent in the pool. It was perfect. The parks were empty all week. We were able to walk on most everything! The parks were busier on Friday, but we got fast passes and then headed over to California Adventure.
Pixie Hollow was terrific! We lined up at the end of our MM on Thursday. There were about 20 people ahead of us, and we were done about a half hour later. I watched the line all week and never saw a short one, so I can't report a great time to visit.
The Nemo wait was often 15 minutes after the parade at night. I would check as we boarded the monorail each night to head back to the hotel. I never saw long waits, but then again the park was very empty.
We loved Toy Story Mania! We went one evening about 5. The park closed at 5. The wait was 20 minutes, but we were on in 10.
I discovered my double jogging stroller does not fit through the gates at California Adventure. They had to open the gates on the end for me. It would fit through the gates in the Grand Californian entrance. If you have a big stroller, use that one!
We did the Fantasmic Priority seating Friday night. I wish they would change the check in procedure. I arrived at 7:30pm and I was at the back of the line. I finally checked in at 8:25, so they seated us right away. I am not sure if it was just a bad night, but I could not believe I was in line so long! Our waiter though was amazing. We were in the back row (due to being last in line!) and he offered to move our chairs so my little ones could see. I thought that was so kind. We loved the show and were excited to see the fireworks afterwards, but they were canceled due to winds.
On Saturday we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific which was terrific! We also toured the Queen Mary.
It was such a fantastic trip. I was thrilled to avoid the crowds and experience so many new things!
