Just back from 19th anniversary trip. We wore "the pins" and received LOTS of attention and freebies (much to my husband's chagrin). Before The Beauty and The Beast show we were serenaded by 4/$ and received their CD. It was a lovely albeit short trip. Lesson to all of you--if they apply, wear the special occassion pins. BTW--In six days we only saw 4 families with YOMD FP and 2 dream team members.

My DH & I are celebrating our 15th anniversary this year and he just asked me yesterday if we're doing anything special for it while on our trip. I'll definitely have to get the pins. Where do you get them? Can you keep them for the duration of your trip and do you need to show any sort of proof that it is your anniversary (it's actually in May)?:confused3 I would imagine that a lot of people would take advantage of it for the heck of it.

You get the pins at Guest Relations in any of the parks. You do not need "proof". The pins are yours to keep. We wore ours everyday of the trip. FYI--This was the first unstructured Disney vacation, meaning we had no plans or ADR. We were able to walk into the restaurants where we wanted to eat. The longest we waited to be seated was 20 minutes. I think because we were a party of two--there always seemed to be a table available. I saw parties of three or more being turned away.

Congratulations on your 15 year anniversary! Have a magical time!

We are going for our May 25th wedding anniversary in September. We will get the pins and wear them the whole trip as I did this past September for my 50th birthday when I wore the birthday pin all week. It was nice having CM's say happy birthday or fellow Disney lovers. They decorated my table at Crystal Palace with confetti and ribbons and gave me a cupcake and birthday card signed by all the characters. I took the confetti with me (I had a baggie in my purse) and when a young child was having a "difficult" time waiting in a line, I would "pixie dust" them with my confetti and it made them smile.
