And am missing it terribly! Another great trip to add to our memories. No dreams, except dd(4) was dressed as Jasmine on our MK day and was approached by one of the Dream Squad, she asked for dd's autograph in her book and talked to her for a minute. She asked what we were about to ride and dd said Peter Pan and the Dream member said "Well, you'll need something to help you on your way" and I just knew we were getting FP's, but she gave dd a handful of Pixie Dust. It was sweet and to be honest, we would not have needed FP's that day, crowds were low. Did not see any other Dream Squad action anywhere the entire rest of the trip.
The first day we did BBB @ 8:00 for dd, it was so cute and the best part was getting into MK early with no crowds. Our FGIT were so sweet to dd and she loved it. We did not have more than a 5-10 minute wait for rides and even walked on several or most. The longest wait we had for anything was in Toontown for the Princesses, waited about 30 minutes and were almost late for our lunch @ CP. DS (17 months) was SO cute with the characters, especially Pooh and friends and we had to pry him off of Stitch, it was funny. He just kept hugging them and Pooh even walked by him at CP and took his sippy cup and pretended to drink. So ds kept trying to give his cup to other characters during the day Haunted Mansion refurb was awesome!
AK was okay, got rained out later in the afternoon, but it was okay, we had had enough. AK is not my favorite and probably would not have gone except we knew the kids would like the animals. Safari was great, saw a lot more animals than we have in the past.
Did our first MNSSHP last Wednesday and it was GREAT!! We arrived about 5:30 and ate a quick meal at Pecos Bills (a first for us and it was really good). Lines for candy were long at first, so we jumped on rides, no waits for anything for us!! Caught the fireworks and the second parade. I can't quit singing the Boo to You song, had to buy the cd. A little rain, but not enough to ruin our night. Highlight of the night for me was seeing Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs! The line was already closed to see them, but they walked right by us and I was thrilled to see them all together.
Met some friends at Sea World one day and had a great time there as well. They have added some great new things for kids since we have been.
Had our photo shoot at GF on Sunday and am not too crazy about it. Our photographer was okay, but it seemed rushed and by the book. Unfortunately for us, ds fell asleep and we had to wake him up right before the shoot and he was not happy. I know the PP people are on a schedule, but she did not try to work with him AT ALL. Like others, I was not expecting anything professional, just wanted some shots of us all together without me behind the camera. Don't know if any are good enough for Christmas cards like I wanted, but it was still fun and got some good shots of dd.
So a great trip until Monday night when we waited at MCO on our flight that was delayed and eventually cancelled!! I don't know what was going on with Delta, but an employee told us 7 flights were cancelled in a few short hours yesterday. By sheer luck, there was another flight boarding and heading to a town 2 hours from home and they got most of us on that. Of course when we got there, no one from Delta had called and told them that we were coming. And we had been promised a shuttle or bus to our original destination. It was a mess and they ended up giving everyone a voucher for taxi's! Yes, a one and a half to 2 hour taxi ride with me, dh, a 4 year old and a 17 month old at 9:00 pm, everyone hungry, sleepy, etc. It was crazy! But we are home and safe! (But I will be contacting Delta sometime about the way that was all handled)
Loved going at Halloween time, it was hotter than expected, less crowded that expected and I am planning our next trip in my head already!!
