Just back.....

Arrived home at 3pm, after a 7.5 hour drive (500 miles, give or take)... the only delays were on the M25.. suprise, eh?

Had 5 nights at Davy Crockett Ranch with DD Beth and DS Adam. The cabin and resort were excellent, particluarly the pool provision. The weather could have been better, but it wasn't terrible. We did the parks to death, and to be honest, we could have managed with a couple of nights. However, we'd two good trips into Paris and Amanda and I will head back there for a week sometime soon.

So, it's off for an early night, as it's Amanda's birthday tomorrow and we are off for an adults-only wander up the Lakes or Dales. Trippie and pics to follow over the next week or two.

You mentioned the pool provision - I didn't realise the DCR had a pool available? Can anyone elaborate on this?

There's a small 'village' area at DCR, with a bar/pub, a restaurant, a petting zoo (bunnies, pigs, sheep & horses), a playground, decent store with usual Disney stuff and basic food/drink provisions, and a large, indoor pool complex with three linked spas, 'river' bit and good pool. It was very quiet first thing (opened 8am) but busy in the evening (open til 1030 lst week)
