Just returned from 4 days at the parks, I will try and do a trip report later, but for now, my thoughts, arrived friday went to DL in time for the Parade, spend sat sun and monday at the parks went to MHT on Sunday:
1. stayed at HOjo, having previously stayed at DLH. HOJO was great, large room, walk about the same, I did miss the DLH and all the magic and missed the walk through dd disney, however, food much cheaper outside of the dd disney area. DD loved the pool.
2. very busy Friday Sat and Sun, as I thought I would be However, Monday was busier then I expected, still ok, 15 min wait for autopia,
3. DD 6 loved the high school musical pep rally and the princess fantsey faire.
4. MHT was great fun, we got a ton of candy......

more to come, have to cook dinner and do laundry, before we reenter our real lives tomorrow.

I am so glad you had fun on your impromtu trip! Your thoughts on the HoJo mirror my experience, its a great place but I always miss the DLH (except for the high rates of course). Can't wait to read your trip report. And I'm glad you made it to the parade that first night, I thought you probably would!

....DD 6 loved the high school musical pep rally and the princess fantsey faire...

I took the kids to DCA and noticed they had the High School Musical Pep Rally. My DS7 and DD5 loved it! I was standing behind my kids and I can see my kids doing the same dance steps and even singing along. For us, that was the best part of the day.
