Just back-you'll never believe the pixie dust we were given!

November 30 MVMCP as we walkied into Mk around 4:30, my 2 teen boys spotted Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel. They were doing a special taping for Dec 14. We waited around for a few minutes to get her autograph and she even let us get a family picture(as soon as I figure out how to put a picture on my thread I'll put it up) we walked away thinking wow can you imagine of all people to run into. Around 9:30 we walked down Main St to stake out a spot for the next parade thinking we'll finally be able to see the parade coming down Main St. as we sat down two people came over and introduced themselves as the filming crew for the Travel Channel. They asked if they could use our youngest 3 kids in a taping special to be aired Dec. 14, 15, 25,and 26. In exchange they said we would be allowed to watch the parade under the tree in a special reserved spot under the tree. We said YES. They put the kids in a segment waiting on line to see santa with Samantha and also taped a few seconds watching the parade. We were so excited to be chosen to be a part of the show. They had 3 other kids dressed in green (ours had the red on) The funny thing was we were all from NJ!! Just thought we would share with all of you! My 2 teen boys got to talk with Samantha for about 30 minutes while we waited. Even my DF was asked to sign the release in case they show him watching the parade too. My DF was elated! All in all we had a great 3 weeks. I'll give my trip report soon.

I know just how excited you are. My mother and I appear in one of her shows(Grand Floridian special) and when I ever saw it on tv I couldnt believe it.
I cant wait for the Christmas special and I will definitely keep an eye out for your family.

I knew that was her! We were in Animal Kingdom on Saturday the 29th and we passed this woman and I told my wife that looked exactly like Samantha Brown. We joked that yea, maybe she was here filming something.

That is SOOO awesome!! Dh and I would have loved to have taken a picture with Samantha Brown on our anniversary at WDW(11/30). We weren't there, but for our honeymoon last year we were!! I'd also like to know if she is as funny and personable in real life as she is in her show. I LOVE SAMANTHA BROWN AND GREAT HOTELS !!!
If she ever took a look at these boards, Samantha would be overwhelmed by all of her DIS-admirers!!

Yes, she is just awesome-very personable with our kids too! She and my 4 year old had a great conversation and she mentioned she wanted to take him home with her. On the Travel Channel web site she has her own set of pictures she takes while doing shoots. She took some of the kids so I'm waiting to see if she puts them up soon

Wow! I can't wait to see that special. I would love to run into her in the parks. She seems like she would be fun to just sit and chat with.
