Just back WL ...strange check-in

I guess at first I really wasn't sure if it was an upgrade, never having been in a jr. suite before. Not sure if they were pulling a fast one because something got messed up with our reservations...but we decided to go for it. In our opinion (and to everyone responding it seems) it was indeed an upgrade. They assured us it had everything the studio had (except we noticed it had no microwave) and a great view. It is two rooms, you enter into a narrow entrance which opens to a living room area with pull out, flat screen tv, small eating table (2 chairs) and a nice size balcony. Off of the entrance hall is a bathroom which leads into the bedroom...the sinks and vanity on the outside of tub/commode room. The tub and commode are off the vanity area with a door. (Very, very tight bath/commode area). Then the bedroom with 2 queen beds, nice linens, dark though. Also a very very small balcony off the bedroom. Decor was very dark. I thought heavier than even the Villas. The daily maid service was great and access to 7th floor consierge (sp) was really nice(We were on the 4th floor). Sorry I didn't take pictures of room...so busy though.

We were impressed with the room but I did think, overall, WL could use a "refresh". The dark woodwork was drab and the dark wood bathroom door was loosing its finish, I guess due to the steam...the carpets were linty (halls and rooms). Just not a crisp, clean look. There was some chocolate on one of the kitchen chair seats. The bedding was very crisp and clean and that is important so that was a plus. We had a great time but still wonder if they overbooked the villas or the new reservation system messed something up. Whatever, it was a great adult Christmas trip. Looking forward to taking our first grandchild maybe next year (only 4 months old this year!) Happy Holidays to all.

Great upgrade. Congratulations. I hope you thanked the CM profusely.
