Hi all we just got back from the long weekend at the Fort checked in on Fri and out on Mon. This was our first trip in our new 34' Fleetwood Bounder. We were in site 869. Noticed that there was a Hybrid bus in the Fort going back and forth from the outpost to the settlement kind of a good idea with the price of gas now. We really need some rain very very dry and looks like they cut the lawnmower tree off about 12' from the ground. Any questions????

Welcome back! I hope you had a good time. Was it very crowded at the fort?
It's a shame about the lawn mower tree but at least they left some of it intact. We really need some water here in Florida, it is so sad to see the water levels. Also, was it terribly hot? I am in Tampa and while it has been very warm, the humidity has not been too bad and we have been getting steady breezes just about every day so it doesn't feel too bad.

Yes it was pretty crowded we tried to go to the campfire movie on Saturday night and it wasn't even standing room only it was the most people that I've ever seen at the campfire before. It really wasn't that hot at all with the breeze just about all the time.

DD and I had lunch at Trails End last Monday and we too saw the Hybrid bus. Pretty cool looking. The water under the bridge wasn't as low as your pic shows. Wow, what a few days can do to a waters level. I saw the workers looking at the mower tree and wasn't surprised to see it cut like that. I guess when it rots it will be gone for good. Nice pics and thanks for the update. We leave Friday for Tropical Palms and then the fort next Monday.

869 is a great site, we had it for spring break this year. Easy walk to the CS, the bus, the campfire and Meadows. I even walked to TE and the dock.

Gotta feel bad about the lawnmower tree, but it was nice to see Disney was nostalgic enough to preserve part of it for a few more years at least.

Corgi we actually check in on Monday. Staying at Tropical Palms with some family for a car show Fri-Sun and then move over to FW. Hopefully will be in the 800 or 1400 loop. We are in a red crew cab chevrolet with a Cougar 5th wheel. I'll have my internet card so we'll be checking on here to see who is at the fort.

Thanks for the picture of the lawn mower tree, I had talked to my brother and mom over the past week about it. Glad to see that they only topped it and didn't uproot the whole thing. Now hopefully it will be there for another long time!

Glad to know that the crowd at the campfire was an anomaly. We went Saturday night for the first time ever and it was packed!!! Hoping for a lighter crowd in mid-October!

We were across from you. We loved your camper and the way you had your site decorated! Love the Mickey's on the golf cart and the way your Mickey Lamp changed colors! I now have a new project for my dh.
Our camper is in the background in one of your golf cart pics. It is the camper with the balloons attached to the awning. We were celebrating my ds's 10th birthday. We just got home tonight. We had a great time!

We do need rain very badley, I live in Fort Lauderdale (south florida) I think we are worse then central florida (Orlando) we are suppose to get quite a bit of rain this weekend (its raining now) all of florida.

The rain is DEFINITELY coming

In fact, looks like most of the country is getting rain today. Can't remember the last time I saw so much of the country covered in green!!! (Minus St. Patty's Day )

Came home last night to find two of my water wells pipes had burst, there was just enough of a break in the rain this morning to give me time to fix them (would have fixed them in the rain as well but it's always nicer not to...lol).

Now bring on the rain!!!

Well, the picture lies!! We need rain pretty badly here in MI but it is actually dying as it passes over Lake Michigan. Second day in a row where we were supposed to get great days of showers. Instead sunny and mid 80s.
