Wow! What a trip! We had the best time! And to top it off we ended up with 3 Magical Moments Certificate thanks to the info learned on these boards. My daughter got one for "Waking up Tinkerbell" and one for being the "Viking of the Day". Our family got one for being the "Bell Family" at the Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant. THANK YOU EVERYONE for sharing.

I was also wondering what other people have done to receive a "Magical Moments" certificate.

That's great! The first time I took my DGD then 6, she got to open Magic Kingdom one morning and received a certificate for that. Then the next night, she was asked to "start" Illuminations at the Rose & Crown and got a certificate for that. I really had to explain to her that those were special "once in a lifetime" happenings and not to expect that those things will ever happen again. And they haven't so far, except she was chosen to throw a grape in the air at the bird show in AK on her last trip.

Don't forget you can also get certificates for being a monorail co-pilot if you ask to ride up front with the pilot . My kids got them back in '95 .
You can also get a certificate proclaiming you a certified future "Mousernaut" at Space Mtn. . Just ask a cast member at the entrance .

It's a piece of light purple card stock embossed with "Where magic lives." It has tinkerbell and pixie dust on it and it reads... This Moment was Certifiably Magical. Across the miles and over the years, you'll always remember this Magical Moment from the Walt Disney World Resort. There is then a line for the cast members to enter Name, Your Magical Moment and Awarded By.

My DD received a Magical Moment Certificate at the Old Port Royale food court at the Carribean Beach Resort. Two CMs were going around the seating area asking the kids if they were having fun on their trip, etc., and handing out pirate eye patches, balloons shaped like swords, and Mickey stickers. It was raining that day and we, along with many others, were in OPR waiting for the rain to clear up and the pool to open again. It was a nice moment and put DD in a good mood for the rest of the day. :D

What does the bell family at the liberty tree tavern do? we are planning to eat there in june.

We had a PS time of 4:05pm for dinner but had checked in early!!! I'm thinking it was around 3:40pm. When we checked in we asked about being the "Bell Family". I had only read about it on these boards but wasn't sure what to expect.

First we were taken around the corner out of sight and there was ALL the characters for the night...(Minnie, Meeko, Chip & Dale is all I can remember right now) We got to get photo's with the whole gang!! I think that was the best part. They then followed us upstairs to the landing were our name was anounced. I was given a large bell and had to ring it three times and yell out..."Here e here e let freedom ring!"

What we did was basically open the restaurant for dining for the evening. It was just one of the many things that made our trip so great!

My DH and I received one last year at dinner at the Castle last year. They brought it with free dessert to celebrate our anniversary.

My son received one at Disney Quest because of a high score that he got on one of the games there.

In 2002 my daughter got a Magical Moments certificate and a free Christmas ornament for being the first child at the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. She got to decorate the Christmas tree and a plaque with her name hung on the tree for the day.

My kids got the certificates and pins for doing a scavenger hunt in Dinoland at AK. I also got one left in my room at the Poly, along with a cake, balloons party hats, etc... for my birthday.

We got one last trip at the AK safari for being "The best prepared for a 2 week safari"

They left it in our stroller. I guess they were impressed by our double stroller stuffed with bags, food, jackets, etc LOL

ROFL! Thats great! :teeth:

What else can you do to get one of these say if you are in your 20s and no kids?

Way back when, when I worked at the Columbia Harbour House restaurant, we gave out magical moments at Random. There was a Blue colored tray and if you received the blue colored tray, the whole front counter staff would stop and proclaim the family "Honorary Captains" for the day. My claim to fame is that I wrote the speech used for the proclaimation (at least the rough draft) - though I can't remember it now nor do I know if they still do it. I just remember that we used lots of nautical references and all the cast members dreaded being the one to have to make the announcement to the family and everyone in line. The nice thing, though, was that we gave free dessert to the family that got the blue tray as well as a certificate.

Now that's the best one! :rotfl:

I got one for my birthday and my dd got one for it being her first time at Disney. All I did was mention it to the cm at the pin cart outside of ASMo! she also dialed a # and Goofy sang me "happy birthday" right there while waiting for the bus!

My DD had her 4th birthday at Mk last week. Told the CM at Splash that it was her BIRFDAY and the wonderful CM took us through the exit to bypass the line. Rode Splash which of course was wonderful. (Hey, it was weird to see the big plume wihtout any water, though!) and when we got off, a different CM asked her name and filled out the card with her birthday info. I think I love the card more than she does!!AND then they gave us a fast pass for right then for Big Thunder, so it was like a triple win!

Ok...thanks for letting me relive the moment....AGAIN!
