Just returned from a week at AKV Kidani, and it was our best vacation yet. As I sit here in a PDD (Post Disney Depression) funk, it was a truly relaxing vacation.

I will post a longer trip report. Our trip was from Sat Oct 16th and we got back 10:00 last night Sat Oct 23rd. We had fantastic weather, tried a bunch of new things we never had, and just loved every minute. We could not have asked for a better week, the parks were hit or miss as far as busy, but for the most part the lines were not bad at all. Coming back to the cold of NY is tough:mad:

Glad you had a good time. We go to Kidani for the first time in December. Dis you eat at Sanaa? Was it inconvenient not having a counter service there?

Hey we were there the EXACT time you were 16-23! Weather was GREAT. Crowds low, Food and Wine delicious. really couldnt have asked for more.

My brother ate at sanaa and said it was very good, and he thought a good value. Really, it's not an issue to hop a park bus and head to jambo if you really want a quick service. DTD bus back to kidani. I didnt miss having one right there, but I'm sure some did. We also had food in the room if we neede it.

We were there just before you - the 13-16 before moving to the BC. I really liked the whole feel of Kidani. Very quiet and laid back. I felt so removed from the rest of the world there.

For CS meals we just hopped the bus to AK from Flame Tree, we have AP's so it was just as easy as going to Jambo. We did go to Jambo for Jiko one night.

I also sort of ate at Sanaa. It was our first day there and my 5 yr old was with me. He was in absolutely no mood to eat a thing or sit. I had thought having a seat facing animals would keep him busy, but no not even a zebra could keep him entertained  I managed half my dinner and then had it all wrapped up to go, even dessert. I had the tandori chicken which was very good. Very different then anything I have had before, but good. Dessert was the chai cream which was very yummy if you like chai. My son had the meaty macaroni which he did eventually eat in the room later. I tried it and it was good too.

We did not eat at Sanaa - we did eat dinner at BOMA and loved it. We dont mind the lack of a quick food shop, we rent a car, and I went over to Publix and got food/snacks and drinks for the room. We get a one bedroom, so I will cook in the room, nothing big. We had dinner & lunch in the room a few times over vacation - it saves us a nice chunk of change.

My wife and I are both runners, so taking a walk over to Jambo if we wanted something would not be an issue - it is a nice walk, and not far at all (to me).
