Well I just got back from CR tower club today (a few hours earlier than expected due to Jeanne).

I know I mentioned to others that I would give them details on the tower club but unfortunately I don't remember who - so if anyone has any questions I will try to answer.

Basically, we had a wonderful trip and DS loved the contemporary but I wouldnt do the tower club again (I will still try for 14th floor). Limited concierge just wasnt worth the price for us. Breakfast consisted of small bagels, danish, fruit, mini muffins & cold cereals and the snack offered was basically cookies, goldfish, minicupcakes and lemonade. (we only made this once-so maybe other days more variety). The staff was wonderful though and were there until evening hours (it said only until 4pm but they were there until about 10pm)

Fridges were already in all rooms- we had several people in the wing rooms and they had them. They were replacing all TV's (much bigger and nicer)

Any questions?

Thanks for the update on the Tower club. I have a 1 night room only for the Tower Club then a regular Tower room for the next 7 days for my package deal(total 8 days). I have been calling everyday to try to upgrade the rest of my stay to get a tower club and there has been nothing available. I was afraid that I would like it so much that I would not want to go from a Tower Club room to a regular Tower room without missing the conceirge.

Hi, my family and I love the CR and tower club. Breakfast is really all that we took advantage of, also. We did use the concierge staff to get us those tough ressies, though. They really came through for us.

I am just wondering about the concierge staff's later hours. Is that something new from now on - or was there some other special reason they extended their hours on the 12th floor?

I would really love to know if that is the new plan.

Glad you had a nice stay. I have never tried 14th floor - but would LOVE to!!!:earsgirl:

They looked like they were gone the first day or two by about 4pm but after that they were there at night. (The 2 times I needed help was at night) The paper they had in our room specifically said they would be gone by 4pm and after that we needed to call.

I have read that 12th floor guests have a frig with complimentary drinks. Is that true? Also, snacks are delivered to the room. ???

I would like to know that too ? Anyone know?

I would love to know also,. We will there 5/11 - 18. We have 4 small kids (8,6,3,1) so breakfast will be a big help!! More info on the fridges and snacks would be helpful.

Hi, whenever we have stayed on the tower club floor we have requested with CRO a refridgerator (sp?) in our room. They will say you will be charged $10/night for it - but on the club floor it is complimentary. I have been reading reports that all the deluxe resorts will automatically have fridges in them, but it pays to request just to make sure.

As far as the drinks - we have never in 10 years had the experience of the fridges being stocked with complimentary drinks. That would be nice. I believe it is only 14th floor that has this. During breakfast, they have cups with lids that we have always used to stock up on milk and juice for later in the day. At 2 in the afternoon, they put out snacks and lemonade - maybe juice and choc milk, tea and hot choc packets.

A few times the concierge has asked us if we would like them to put some snacks in our room for us to enjoy later in the day if we weren't planning on taking that afternoon break.

I have stayed there too many times to count and have always had very pleasant experiences with the concierge staff. They will really go out of their way to be helpful. If you need something, I am sure they will get it for you.

Have a great stay. I hope I answered all the questions.:earsgirl:

They do have a fridge (but all of the rooms now have one) but no drinks- at snack time I believe they only had lemonade, tea and maybe coffee. They did send us a note that they would deliver snacks to the room if we missed them. We never did this since if we missed them it would be too close to dinner for DS and it was cupcakes, cookies, etc.

With 4 kids I may feel different about the tower club (for breakfast alone) they had several different cereals for the kids, orange juice, chocolate milk, reg milk, small bagels (no toaster), danish (cheese or strawberry).

All rooms have empty fridges (tower and wings)-14th floor may have theirs filled.

Snacks- goldfish, cookies, mini cupcakes, and what looked like rice crispy treats, lemonade, tea and coffee. Also they had a bottle of water if you wanted a glass.

A few years ago we stayed at Poly concierge, and they had Bottled water, sodas, etc which were very convenient for us and they encouraged you to put some in your fridge.

The staff was wonderful-very nice and always asking if we needed anything when we came off the elevator.

Just to add about the refrigerators, I just got back from Poly non-concierge last week, and there was a fridge in my room when I checked in. I did not request one, and was not charged for it, either. So I thought that was nice, came in handy. So this thing about all the deluxe resort rooms getting the fridge might be true.

Wow, I'm really suprised they didn't have a toaster. They are so inexpensive and would have made the bagels much nicer.

Wasn't there any soda, even in the lounge? That would have been a REAL bummer. DH & I like diet coke and would have really been annoyed to have to truck down to the food court with those refillable mugs.

Yes, the 14th floor rooms had stocked fridges. 2 bottles of apple juice, 2 cans each of diet coke, sprite, & coke. There was plenty of soda (cans) in the lounge too.

No soda at all- one of the reasons I felt it was not worth it, we are also big diet coke drinkers and bottled water- so I still had to run downstairs to the food court so it was really inconvenient. I also agree about the toaster. (they were those plain small bagels may not have been able to get them out of a toaster :teeth: )

These are some of the reasons I felt 12th floor wasnt worth it, I was willing to pay the extra $$ for the convenience of NOT having to go to food court several times a day I wasnt looking for $ for $ (if you know what I mean)
