Alright... I got to spend a glorious 8 nights (6/14-6/22) back "home" and my boyfriend treated me to dinner nearly every day... (which means that since we're college kids we wont be going out the rest of the summer :p Here's where we ate :)

6/14: Chef Mickey's Dinner- excellent; couldn't get enough of the parmesan mashed potatoes; character visits were great... even if I didnt have film in my camera :(... but all in all, for a buffet it was wonderful as always.

6/15: Chefs de France Dinner- wonderful- ordered the "French Menu" (french onion soup w/ Guierre cheese- incredible!; chicken cordon bleu- that was alright... i've had better;and for dessert creme brulee- fantastic!) Our waiter was wonderful and we (my parents, boyfriend and I) had went to celebrate my father's birthday and they brought him a really rich chocolate dessert and sang happy birthday to him in french. highly recommended! The "French Menu" is roughly $25 a person and includes everything i listed (soup, chicken, dessert).

6/16: Rainforest Cafe (Downtown Disney) Dinner- I was a bit hesitant to go after reading so many bad reviews but I'm thankful that I went :) We hadn't originally planned to go, but decided to drop by when we were downtown. I had this shrimp pasta w/ alfredo sauce & garlic bread- very fresh tasting and a very creamy alfredo sauce. Unfortuantely I didn't have room to finish it off when my boyfriend was insisting on us ordering the "Volcano" dessert. If I were to recommend one thing for the Rainforest it would be this: I adore the atmosphere and the food was great, but the Volcano dessert was the best thing I've ever had! Absolutely incredible- picture this: A huge (gigantic) scoop of vanilla ice cream covered in hot fudge and caramel sauces and then surrounded by 4 slices of this fudgy brownie (so it looks like a volcano) and then has a whipped cream "explosion" on it w/ more hot fudge and caramel running down it... So basically what I'm saying is that if you're planning on getting the volcano I'd just order an appetizer and then get the dessert... either that or dont eat anything all day :) We were waddling around for awhile!

6/17: Lunch at Teppanyaki in Japan: I absolutely adore Japanese steakhouses and I loved this one! I had steak and shrimp and found both to be very good. The salad, rice, veggies, sauces and everything about it was wonderful. Our chef was very funny and paid special attention to the 8 year old boy that was at our table (the tables seat 8 people) I really recommend this :) And price wise, lunch was far better than dinner :)

6/20: here we go... big eatin!
Breakfast- Boma Buffet- AKL: Absolutely incredible- made-to-order omlettes, waffles, pancakes, etc. I really recommend this :)
Dinner- 'Ohana- Poly: Absolutely incredible as well, though the food was too good! Our waitress was hysterical and we enjoyed watching the activities for the children :)
** I highly highly highly recommend doing both of these, but I don't recommend doing them in the same day- we ate so much for breakfast we were still full when it came time for our 7pm priority seating!**

6/21: Nine Dragon- China- Dinner: Absolutely wonderful. We'd decided we wanted chinese and originally planned to do counter service, but the menu looked reasonable and so we decided to see if we could be seated. We were seated and had our meal in about the sametime it would've taken at the counter service... but being a party of 2, it was faster- I doubt larger parties would have had the luck that we did. We ordered sweet and sour pork (sauce is a little strong if you have a lot of it) and honey sesame chicken- (the best i've ever had). Our waiter was really nice and friendly.

~~That's it for the sit-down meals... here's the counter service info

Cosmic Rays- tomorrowland-MK: Really good, as always- cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers. Always adore the topping bar!

Ice cream shop on Main street- MK: ice cream sundae with hot fudge~ really good... my boyfriend had a sugar cookie sandwich w/ vanilla ice cream- it looked really good and it was HUGE! They can do different kinds of cookies w/ varieties of icecream.

pinapple place in adventureland (near swiss family robinson treehouse)- Had a dole whip (pineapple and vanilla swirl) really good!

turkey legs in frontierland- awesome!

ABC Commissary- had a cheeseburger- really good but i suggest splitting your party and trying to find a table- it took a while for me to find one.

Electric Umbrella-Epcot- Really good- I had a cheeseburger- boyfriend had a chili cheese dog- we really enjoyed both.

Mara- food court at AKL- had pizza- both large and individual (different days)- really enjoyed both.

Flame Tree Barbeque- I had barbeque ribs- loved them, boyfriend had a barbeque pork sandwich which he really enjoyed.

Ghiardellis- Had a Strawberry Delight sundae- very wonderful!

Mmmmmmmmmm! Thanks for the great reviews! :) My mouth is watering just thinking about all of that wonderful food! :teeth:

A common amateur mistake! You must train for overeating just like any other athletic event. You can no more eat two meals like this in a single day than run a 5 mile race with no training. :teeth:
(Besides, I'm willing to bet you had something for lunch that day!)

Thanks for the reviews! In all my trips to the "world", I've never tried a Dole Whip. It's definitely on my to do list for next time!

Thank you very much for sharing your yummy morsels. Sounds like you all had a wonderful time.

We (5 of us) are going down September 20th - Can you gice me a rough estimate as to what this cost you? Trying to figure out my budget. Thanks in advance:Pinkbounc

Wonderful review. I am glad you liked Boma's Breakfast. We ate there everymorning on our last visit and planning on doing the same again. We had no problem doing that and a sit down dinner every day. What did you eat for lunch and snack that day?

we didnt eat lunch or snack- our breakfast lasted for over an hour (until 11) and that's all we did- eat. We didn't want to be able to tempt ourselves with lunch/snack but we thought it'd go away by 7... we were wrong :( Oh well... all the pictures still came out good!

Sounds as if you both ate at some wonderful places - Thanks for sharing!!!!

The breakfast at Boma is AWESOME!! The house juice...yum. The giant pecan roll...double yum. I want to go back. Then there is dinner. Triple yum!! Zebra domes. Those fruit pizza thingys. I figure the fruit made it okay to eat lots of them!;) I loved their potatoes too with the orange flavoring too!!
