Just back.. TIP FOR MAIN ST

DD had her hair cut and had green gel with pixie dust. They also have two kinds of yellow gel-a bright lemon yellow and a 'Florida sunshine' yellow. We waited for nearly an hour, though, not 5 minutes. There are only two stylists, and they definitely take their time!

It's totally worth the wait, though. My DD refused to get a hair cut before the trip, so she was quite shaggy, as her previous haircut was in April (we were there two weeks ago!).

She was the only girl in the shop the whole time we were there, so I wonder if some people think that it's a true 'barber shop' and mainly caters to men. Not so! The stylists are very good! The gentleman stylist was very playful, continuing to throw pixie dust on a customer as he was walking out the door. Fun!

My son is 3 1/2 and I asked him if he wanted to get his hair cut and then have pixie dust put in and colored gel. He said yes yes yes and then i'll fly like peter pan! Too cute!

That's to perfect/ The last time my son (also 3 1/2) go this haircut at home he told hte woman, my next haircut will be at Disney World. I was so proud. Also, if you get your child's first haircut there they wrap up some hair in a paper towel and seal it with a Mickey sticker, give you a special certificate, and a pair of Mickey ears that say, My First Hair Cut. The price is still only $14. It was great!

this may need a new thread, but does anyone know if the salon at the Grand Floridian will do the same thing??

Our trip will be perfect timing - as I usually get DS1, DS2 & DS3 haircut right before we leave for WDW so this time I think I will wait it out and have this done instead - my oldest DS (11) will love the color gel in his hair and my youngest (almost 4) will love the "pixie dust"....DS2 (9) will probably balk but he'll get in to it...

I am so excited about my upcoming trip......have I left for Disney yet???????

Oh this is just too funny! I'm thinking DD8 & Daddy need their hair gelled and dusted! DW might disown us, but it looks like fun!
