We just returned--here are some thoughts and opinions---
1) VWL--I changed our ressie here from 4 days in a 1BR to 2 days in a 2BR to save DVC weekend points--I really regret it! What a gorgeous resort and DH loves it! We used both pools although the main pool was pretty crowded even at 10PM--ate at Roaring Forks and Whispering Canyon. Our room was at the end of a hall and very quiet.
2) BWV--Our first "home"--nice, but I have to say it suffers in my mind right now compared to VWL--My parents were with us for 4 days of this one and my dad really enjoyed it, visiting the Bakery several times, and going to Seashore Sweets as well. He had a scooter we rented from Walker Mobility and the location was a real plus. We used this pool as well and DS really adored the slide, going down over and over again.
3) Poly--our 3rd stay--we switched to LV concierge (we have done GV before) and yes, the view was awesome and so were the concierge services--but the resort seemed really worn down. Again, these 2 nights were sandwiched between two stays at DVC resorts, but one day it rained most of the day (My BDay, when I had major 'hammock time' planned) and it was really dreary inside the room. DH, formerly the biggest Poly booster, was disappointed and said it was like spending a lot of money for a Ramada Inn room, except for the view. I guess the rehab can't come soon enough.
We also visited the BCV, which seemed pretty darn comparable to the other villas--only attraction would be the pool, since it seems so much like BWV.
