Was at WDW from Oct 17-22. It was REALLY hot, 90+ all week. No rain though. Went to our very first MNSSHP on the 19th. I thought it was really crowded. There was alot to do and thought that we needed to go two nights to do all. It probably could have been done in one night, but it seeemed really crowded. F&W Festival was great! Lots of yummie food and oooohhh the wine!!!

The Nemo ride was not really worth the wait. It was a very quick ride, not much to look at. Very disappointing.

No dreams given to our family during our trip. Did see ALOT of the Dream CM's. They all wear light tan pants and light blue dress shirts and carry a black bag and have the FBI type ear piece. Also saw alot of the dream fast passes.

Ask away if you have any questions!!

Last year when we did the Mickey's party, the crowds were a lot worse than during the day. Lots of questions: So how were the crowds during the day? Did you have long wait times? Were the mornings cool or hot straight thru? Do you think the Nemo ride would be worth the wait for a 2-year old? He loves Nemo.

Did it cool down in the evenings? We are leaving on Thursday, and am concerned we'll be hot during the day, but cold at night. We will have our three grandaughters, 2 years, 7 months and 3.5 months.

It was hot in the mornings and afternoons, but cooled when the sun went down to the 70's. It was suppose to cool down this week per their weather reports 70-80's on TV.

Crowds seemed to be pretty moderate. If you didn't have a fast past the average wait for rides was 20-30 minutes. I can't really gage crowds, cause we usually go in June and over spring break. I think lots of kids had fall break.

Nemo will be worth the wait for a two year old! The line moves quickly, and the que is indoors, so it was cool. My son loved the display on the outside, all I have to say is "mine, mine, mine". Very cute.

We were at the Halloween party on the 19th as well! The parade and fireworks were great! Our DS (17 months) was dressed as a skunk (soory the pisture's so poor, my DH took it with his camera phone) and he lasted about 30 minutes in his costume he was so hot. We went to the F&WF each day, but on Friday the 20th, it was so crowded we could hardly traverse the crowds with a stroller. We were there on the 4th of July this year, and it was more crowded on the 20th!

We've made it a point to get Halloween costumes that aren't too hot, since we'll be there on Halloween, although we are not going to MNSSHP. Thanks for the report on the weather. I told both of my daughters to bring cooler clothes for daytime and then jeans and jackets for evening. I hope that's enough.

Actually, this is his 4th trip (7/05, 3/06, 7/06, 10/06 and soon Xmas/NYE 06). I'll say first off that we are lucky to have a pretty easygoing kid (at least compared to my DS's daughter), so take what I say with a grain of salt. He doesn't get scared of the fireworks. In the past, he hasn't really cared about them one way or the other, but this year he LOVED Hallowishes. He wanted to dance to the music and kept saying 'oooo' at the fireworks. He gave up his afternoon nap right before we left and he's alwas napped in a stroller. I think it depends on the stroller, though. If you have a stroller that fully reclines (like a little bed) then I think you'll be OK. The noise hasn't bothered him nor has movoment around the park; he sleeps thru it all. We haven't taken him on a ton of rides, but his favorite is IASW. He LOVES it. All of the colorful dolls, tons to look at, catchy music, etc. So far, that's the only ride he gets really excited on. He's lukewarm on Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, the Carosel (sp?), Snow White, TTA, etc. One word of warning - he FREAKS OUT at masked characters - he won't go near them. Faced characters he loves. Another tip - we take him back to the hotel for 2 hours or so in the afternoon to swim and unwind. That works much better than running him ragged at a park all day (we made that mistake on the first three trips with him). Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Thank you for all your help. Being number 3 (only 3 in birth) he is very easy going. But yes we still take breaks with our other kids too (even DH ) needs a break in the afternoon. THANKS!! :Pinkbounc

One thing I should have mentioned that we always take advantage of is the Baby Care Centers; AK and Epcots are the nicest but they are awesome for changing diapers, they are roomy clean and cool. Thet bathroom changing stations kind of give me the creeps they aren't always as clean as they could be and so hard they are just a slab of metal. :thumbsup2

Thank you for all the information, it is super helpful!!! What about the DDP, were you on it? If you were do you just feed him off your plate? And thanks for the mention of the baby care center (I didn't think of them because last time DS (baby) stayed home with Grammy. Does MK have a baby care center?

PS kind of personal question please don't answer if you aren't comfortable......are you guys DVC members?

Again THANK YOU!!! pixiedust:

We are DVC Members but never seem to have enough points, thus the stay at AKL this last trip :). We were not on DDP. We like to eat at mostly TS restaurants and can't seem to make DDP work for us. We typically order him his own food, but with the new children's menus, that was a challenge (the food was odd at the TS restaurants). We did bring him juice into the parks (those Gerber juice singles) and snacks as WDW doesn't have a lot of toddler-friendly snacks available. MK has a baby care center right by Casey's.

Don't feel bad - keep asking if you need more info! We love to help!

Thanks again. It's so funny because last trip I guess I didn't even think of all the things I was going to need to think about for this trip. Okay so they let you take the gerger juices into the parks, right? And I have heard a little about the new TS menu for kids, not good?? Why is it because the choices are so limited? Also your DS is an experienced flier? Do you guys fly down most of the time? How are his ears I have heard little ears sometimes aren't good with planes. Thanks again!!! :cheer2:
