Well, let me start by telling you this is my first time on this board. I have been on reading A LOT before this however.

I have lived in the Orlando area since October 1971 (age 2). So, I have been to Disney hundreds of times. This time I decided to take my neices (ages 8 & 10) and stay at one of the hotels. We decided on All Star Music and we absolutely loved the hotel! The girls had a blast with the decorations, the pool, the food court.....

Now, having said that I have been to Disney hundreds of times, you would think I knew pretty much everything that was there. Wrong!! After reading on DIS I learned about all kinds of things I was not aware of.

We arrived on Thursday at noon. ASMu had our room ready. They gave us exactly what we had requested- Jazz building, 3rd floor, non-smoking. We settled into our roon, unpacked, and explored the hotel. The girls just loved the idea of the refillable mugs! After our brief tour of the hotel we were off to MGM. We caught the bus- no wait at all. We spent the day at MGM, there were hardly any lines. While there we bought our magical moments light up pins. We really enjoyed them! They went off during the Great Movie Ride. They were out of the free internet pin but stapled the receipt to the certificate and said that we could get one when the new shipment arrives. Stayed at MGM until about 6:00 then back to the hotel for dinner and swimming.

Friday morning Mickey woke us up early. We had PS at Cinderella's character b-fast in the castle. Thank you DIS for teaching me how to get PS for that. I tried for weeks and finally got the PS two days before we left. The girls just loved the breakfast. It was a surprise for them. I had bought a poster of the princesses and we got Cinderella, Snow White and the Fairy Godmother to sign it! We spent the day Friday at the Magic Kingdom with a break for lunch and swimming.

Saturday was another early wake-up from Mickey. It was early entry day at the Magic Kingdom. We arrived at 8:00 and by 9:15 we had ridden Buzz, Space Mountain, Raceway, Pooh, and Peter Pan. We headed over to the Contempory and had PS for Chef Mickey's. While there we saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. I had purchased a Disney story book before I left and had the characters sign next to their pictures. The characters were just great! After that we headed off to Animal Kingdom. There were hardly any lines at all. We stayed until 5:00 and headed back to the hotel for some food and swimming.

We decided to go to the Magic Kingdom for the Spectro Magic parade and fireworks. Big Mistake!! We arrived around 7:30 and the crowds were about 8- 10 people deep. We ended up in Fronteir land and found an ok place. Behind about 5 people. It was not pleasant. A couple of guys got in a fight over who was there first. Security was called in. After the parade we headed towards the castle for the fireworks. We watched them from Fantasy land. Then we found out there was another Spectro magic parade at 10:00. It was not published in the map. We stayed for that one and had front row seats on Main Street

Sunday was a sleep in day and then off to Epcot. We did the usual stuff. But thanks to DIS we also sent home an e-mail postcard and an e-mail video postcard. Also thanks to DIS I had PS at the land for the ice cream social. The girls enjoyed to ice cream but the characters were the same as Chef Mickey's. This would have been a blast had they not already seen the characters the day before. We stayed at Epcot for the parade and the fireworks. Then it was back to the hotel to pack.

Monday was again early entry at Magic Kingdom. ASMu had the bill on the door by 7:00 am. We loaded up the car and then headed over on the bus. Again, arrived about 8:00. By 9:30 we had ridden Space Mountain, Buzz, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. We stayed until about 1:15 caught the buss back to ASMu and headed home. We were home by 2:00.

Just wanted to thank you all again. We had a great trip thanks to all the tips I received from all of you.

glad you had a great time. Now to just get my husband to look for a job near Orlando so that I can whenever I feel like it.
