We just returned from short Memorial Day weekend trip to Disney with the main reason being Star Wars weekend. My 7 year old is crazy about Star Wars. Didn't mess with autographs from stars-lines too long for kids to wait. We did get character autographs and pics. The boys loved the characters being out everywhere. My 7 yr old got to participate in the kids 12 and under trivia contest and the Jedi training. In the trivia contest he missed the 1st question, but don't worry-- all the kids were awarded prizes and he was very happy. The Jedi training was special. He had the time of his life. we waited quite a while to be picked, but it was well worth it! After being properly trained in the use of a lightsaber, he used his skills in a battle with Darth Vader. Now, there are some great pictures! My son was so happy that we had to scrape him off the ceiling of our hotel room that night! We couldn't have had a better weekend. If there are any questions, I'd be glad to answer them. Thanks

Sounds like you had a great time! I've watched the kids do the Jedi training thing before, and it seems like they have so much fun!

Thanks for sharing your views from your child's perspective. Sounds like he had a great time!

We were there this weekend too and really enjoyed watching the interaction and the kids faces when they saw the characters! Especially funny was a family from Haiti who couldn't understand just who the characters were - kept asking my DH in broken English "Wha?" I wished more visitors had dressed like characters, only saw a few.(Saw one lady in a black caped outfit, then saw her later at Epcot, where everyone stared!) Later DH & I were sitting on a bench and the "regular" studio characters i.e. "Roman Holiday" (supposed to be old movie star) came up and we had a fun time asking them what they thought of all the Star Wars action going on - DH asked "Darrell" with the hard hat and plunger if his plunger made the sound of the Starwars light sabers!

Seahunt, I too saw the "caped lady". She sure drew alot of attention. You're right about the people who knew nothing about the SW characters. WHat they must have thought to see those weird thing walking around! My son was in heaven -- he must have thought he won the lottery. Never has he had a day that was all about him! My family loved it. We rode Star Tours 3 times and even our 4 year old loved that.:bounce:

I will bet money that the "caped lady" is none other than Linda Skywalker who was there the first weekend. Yeah, she really did change her name to Linda Leia Padme Amadala Skywalker! She was one of the many that I saw all decked out that first weekend!

Hi! We're going for the last Star Wars weekend ... can you tell me if the Jedi training and trivia questions are offered more than once a day? And if so, how often?

Thanks so much!

The trivia is only offered once a day. There are 2 different sections of that. One is for under 12 and the other is for 12 and older. The WWTBaM Star Wars Ediition is twice a day (11:30 and 12:30). The Jedi training is offered more than once a day, I believe 3 times, but I could be wrong on that one. When you get the map of the park, the times guide will lay it all out for you. I found that we could not do everything in one day, due to the overlapping of times, but 2 days proved to give more than enough time to get everything, including the celebrity autographs
