Hi all!
Just back from a magical long weekend (Sat Mon) of holiday fun at Disney! Here are some thoughts:
It was cold! Not as bad as I thought it would be though. Bring mittens, sweatshirts and drink lots of hot cocoa! On the bright side, the cold weather makes for an exceptionally good safari at AK!
It was crowded! I thought wed be squeezing in before the holiday rush, but the last three days were very crowded.
All the special holiday events were incredible. Loved them all CP (especially with dining package), Osborne Lights, AK parade, MK parade, holiday Illuminations, etc. Nothing should be missed!
Decorations were definitely scaled back. Bummer. Still beautiful, but I remember more in years past. We enjoyed touring some of the hotels as well. The Boardwalk had a great train set and holiday town scene all made out of chocolate, the GF has the Gingerbread house of course, and an elegant tree, WL is warm and cozy to visit and admire their decorations as well.
To all of you on your way Im jealous! Wish I was going back. We had a spectacular time and will be making a new tradition out of visiting WDW the weekend before Christmas!
