Just back - some reviews

We just got back from a weeklong stay. Here are some of the places we ate and our thoughts -
Le Cellier - I know this place has a lot of fans, but I don't get it. Service was very slow and the food was not great. My husband's prime rib was way over done and almost too fatty to eat. My filet was over done too. I'm usually not too picky, but I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunatly, it was our first Disney meal - I was concerned about the rest of the week.
Crystal Palace - We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good basic fare. There was a lot for the kids to choose from. Service was excellent.
Boma - definately my favorite of the week. So many interesting things to eat in a beautiful hotel. Service was wonderful also.
Whispering Canyons Cafe - I was a little nervous about the outrageous behaviour that I'd read about, but our server was relatively calm. He made hats for all of the kids and was pretty funny. Beware that some of the servers are extremely lively!

Two counter services that we enjoyed were 1)the Lotus something in China. Very good orange chicken, and 2) Cosmic Ray's.

Thanks for the reviews. We are completely opposite. We love Le Cellier and didn't care for Boma at all. We tried Boma for the same reason.......all the recommendations on the board and then ended up wondering what was so good??? And then was disappointed too. I tend to always realize that just because someone raves about it, I shouldn't really make too much of that until I try it myself. Then I won't be disappointed.

This especially happened to us with Cirque du Soleil. It is built up to be SO unbelievable, and SO fantastic, and SO out of this world...........I really don't know WHAT I expected, but when we walked out we were all really disappointed. I think if it hadn't been built up to be SO OUT OF THIS WORLD FANTASTIC, we would have walked out and thought it to be really really good and liked it!!! As it is now, no one really cares to go back again.
