Just back Sept. 19-24 OKW

DW and I left at 5:30AM on 9/18 from Allentown, Pa. Caught a lot of rain in PA but skies cleard once we hit Maryland. Not a bad drive at all. We reached Savanna GA, at 5:45pm Sat night. Stayed at Clarion right off of 95, very clean and nice. Left GA at 8:00am on Sun 9/19 arrived at OKW at 1:00pm. Received welcome home's from guard at front gate and when we checked in.

We were in a studio 6433. Room showed a little wear and tear but nothing bad. OKW was in great shape except for main pool. They are really moving along with instilation of slide.

All the parks seemed to be in great shape also. Took keys to the kingdom tour on 9/20. What a great tour. I would highly recomed this tour for any Disney nut. Well worth the $$$, included luch at columbia house.

We cut our stay one day short leaving on friday instead of sat becuase of weather. Glad we did. I was not worried about the weather but about traffic on I-4 from people getting away from coast.

Sounds like you had a good time. I'm glad you posted about the Clarion in Savannah. I've been looking for a good clean place to overnight on my way down with three seniors and we were talking about the Savannah area. It also gave me an idea of how long it would take to get to WDW from Savannah. Did you get a good rate there?

Did you visit any of the other pools while at OKW? I was wondering how they are, since the main pool is closed. Were they crowded? Are the "quiet" pools still supposed to be "quiet" pools?

Also, where were you on the bus route at OKW?

The rate was 74.00 plus tax. It was the internet rate. Not the best. But is was very close to 95 litterly 1 min from ramp and it was clean. The parks were empty all week. We never waited longer then 10-15 min for any ride. The busses and boats were empty. The two other pools at OKW were very nice, small but nice. Not crowded at all. We were a two minute walk to the HH. So we always got on the bus there. And on the way home we got off on the first stop in. From there it was a 5 min walk. Not a bad location. Building 64 on the map.
