We decided to take advantage of the second day free so the first night we arrived we went to Dining With Shamu. (I replied on another post about this dinner).

Overall Sea World was okay but not as great as I had hoped. The employees were no where near as friendly as the ones at Disney. (Not the ones in the shows the ones who did service etc.) We went to the Shamu playground and the employee running the air jumper was very rude. The other to ee's were more concerned about chatting with each other then helping any of the children. The food also seemed a tad bit more pricey then at Disney.

Our absolute favorite thing was feeding and petting the dolphins. They were just marvelous, just beware of the seagulls trying to steal fish. The Clyde and Seamore show was also very good.

Overall, my impression was that I was glad that we did it but I would not really want to go back again.

Its unfortunate the rude employees spoiled it for u thanks for posting:jester:

We used to love SW but after encountering less than enthusistic employees in October we have decided to give it a miss next trip.

Wow, I am sorry ya'll thought some of the employees were rude. From my experience last Saturday at the park, all I can say is I LOVE all you Sea World Employees! My husband had a heart attack and they were all wonderful . He survived and is doing well.

I can also say if you ever get sick and need a hospital the staff at Sand Lake Hospital which is near Sea world are absolutely WONDERFUL!

Hopefully when my husband gets stronger we will be able to have our day at Sea World like he planned as my Valentine's gift
and I will be able to thank everyone there in person for the great care they gave him........ and me. I mean I couldn't even remember where we parked the car and they rode me up and down every row till we found it. <g>

So sorry to hear about your husband! Glad to hear he is doing well though.

Just wanted to say that we all liked Sea World far more than anticipated. I hadn't been since I was 11 (looooong time ago) and rest of my family had never been. We are even thinking of doing it for two day on our next trip south! I didn't have many encounters with employees, but the ones I did speak with were just fine. There were certainly areas that I thought were only so-so or boring or poorly done, but I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm sure that there are people who feel that way about areas in Disney (not me of course!). I would encourage anyone who has never been to give it a try. Especially if you have an animal/dolphin lover in the family! Sure, it's not Disney, but not much in this world is!.................P
