Hi everyone! Just back from 5 nights at RPR. I'll type a trip report later-just got back late sat. night. We stayed in tower 1, floor 6 in room 1619. WOW!! We had the most awesome view. I got a loew's first card # before we left, got our rooms at ent. card rate. On loews site requested adj/con rooms w/view. At check in--Pia was associate--great!---she had rooms across the hall and around the corner only.ok not bad. my parents were in that room 1617 &had view of front of hotel which my mom loved because she could read morning paper & watch the ducks swim in the "river" down below. my dh, 2 ds & I expected the same. Well when we opened our door and saw our view of IOA with the HULK coster front and center I thought my dh was going to hyperventilate. The HULK is his favorite!!!Just wanted to quickly say what an awesome hotel RPR is and what a great vacation we had. I'd recommend RPR to anyone. No problems at all. BYE!:D :bounce: :D

I"m glad to hear that you had a wonderful time! That's great that you enjoyed your stay at RPR. We will be there this coming Easter! Did you guys get a chance to go swimming? If so, how was it? Did you guys eat at their restaurants? If so, would you recommend which one? Can't wait to read about your trip!! :)

I'm so glad you had a great time. We will be at RPH this December and we can't wait. Looking forward to reading your trip report.

I'm glad that you had a good time and enjoyed your rooms. I'm concerned about the lack of connecting rooms. We'll be there next month with our 4 kids and have to have 2 rooms. My sister and b-i-l might join us and I have their names on the ressie, but we really need the connecting rooms. I can't have my 3yo roaming the halls! Do you think that they were really out of connecting rooms or were they holding them for families with small children staying in the second room?

T&B

I have a question also, I'm curious about the parking situation. I have read several people's comments that the parking is scarce and that they had to use valet just to find a spot. Since we are renting a car and like to come and go, I'm concerned about this. Can you give me your experiences with the parking lot?

Thanks!
Nicole

The parking was fine no problem, plenty of spaces. $6 a day, regardless if you never move the car or you come and go all day long.

My DH and DS went swimming. they loved the pool and the interactive area. It was heated the first day they went, temp outside about 62-it rained most of that day. second day temp was 83.

I think several things were factors in us not getting connecting rooms. 1) We checked in Mon afternoon--most people start their vacations on Sat. usually 2) they had at least 2 conventions during our stay 3) the second room was not for our children--I'm sure that they wouldn't want your 3yr or anyone's child roaming the halls so they would make sure that request is granted. You might want to make sure they put in your ressie request that it is a children's room, this would probably help.

No, mattkatie7 I did not get my cookies and milk. We were told that it's not availabe when you book w/ ent rate. We did get our shell necklace and shovel and pail though.

Hi Fantasia, we will be there over Easter also. It is our first stay at Universal, I thought it would be good to dip in and out of the parks and stay close .sounds like a nice hotel. We are coming from the UK. Counting the days!

Welcome back, alboq!

Too bad you didn't receive your Loew's goodies, I did and I NEVER pay regular rates.... I guess everything changes.

I would LOVE to have a view of the Hulk! I check in on a Sunday so MAYBE someone will be checking out of one! We'll see.

How were the restaurants? Anything outstanding?

We will be at RP in April - let us know all the scoop!

Do you still pay for parking if you have an AP? Or if you are a FL resident? Thanks :)

Parking is free at the parks/citywalk with your AP but not at the resorts.
