Here are some reviews of our FREE dining eats....man, what a lot of food! I'm willing to even pay for it though; makes it a lot easier to just not have to worry about what to order- it's already paid for.
First meal- POFQ food court. Late dinner. Very noisy in there...I had chicken strips, a bottle of water and a rice krispy Mickey; DS4 had nuggets, cookie & juice. DS7 had a burger, cookie & chocolate milk. I also bought a refillable mug, which got used a LOT. I think it would have been around $28 had I paid for the meal. My dad had a burger and my mom had the rotisserie chicken. We were hot, tired, and grumpy so we just sat and ate...(traveling across country with 3 kiddoes is never fun).
Saturday lunch- 50s PTC- we had a very efficient server, but not really "into" it. But that was fine. My boys had some Star Wars toys to play with to keep them occupied. (always a good thing in a sitdown restaurant). Let's see- we started with onion rings, shrimp cocktail & chicken noodle soup. the onion rings were awesome- the shrimp were large and my mom liked her soup. The boys got carrots & celery to start. For our entrees Dad and I had the chicken dinner, mom the seafood primavera, and the boys had nuggets. I thought the chicken was great- hot and crispy- I could only eat the breast, potatoes and green beans...the other two pieces of chicken went to waste. Molly dined on some saltines and Gerber baby food.
For dessert I had a vanilla shake, dad the smores and mom the cobbler. The boys had make it yourself sundaes. We all took a few bites of each and called it quits. All were delicious! I think the tab was about $150, but again, FREE for us!
Saturday dinner- Cosmic Rays- standard counter fare, but a great selection to choose from. The kids and I ordered from the "burger" queue- I had a burger with carrots with water, DS7 a burger with fries and chocolate milk, and DS4 had corndog nuggets with carrots and apple juice. He LOVED those corndog nuggets. We got two sugarfree brownies and a carrot cake for dessert. Again, just took a few bites and discarded. The brownies were quite dry. I think my mom got a salad and my dad ribs. The best thing about Cosmic Rays?????? The AIR CONDITIONING! We sat in a far, quiet corner, away from Sonny Eclipse- we had a nice view of the castle.
