We had a large group the first couple days. So here's our cast of characters:
Me - 31
DH - 32
DD8
DS9
Gramma A
Grampa A
Grampa Z
Gramma Z
Uncle Joey - 28
Aunt Betsy - 25
Uncle Michael - 19

Let's preface this by saying my immediate family go to Disney ever year. The A's are on their second trip with us. The Z's (including the aunts and uncles) haven't been in 10 years!

Sat. Dec 4
We breakfasted in the room today and headed over to MGM for the first part of the day.

Lunch we hit 2 places: DH, DD, DS and Uncle Michael had pizza at Toy Story Pizza Planet. Good pizza. Not enough of it for DH, but enough to fill the kids. Uncle Michael seemed fine.

The rest of us hit Backlot Express which had some neat sandwiches or wraps in addition to the regular burger and hot dog stuff. As reported by others, the toppings bar is not there any more. They also had this cranberry coleslaw which wasn't too bad that came with the burger I ordered. Everyone liked the food; it was fine for counter service.

Dinner was at 'Ohana tonight for all. What can I say, it's our favorite place and traditional first dinner at WDW. It never disappoints and I never fail to roll myself out of there. Even though we had a large group, the staff split us in 2 tables so we could sit by the windows with a view of the castle. Everyone loved it.

Sun. December 5

Breakfast was again in the room.

Lunch...DD had chicken strips from Electric Umbrella...pretty generous portion too. But then I wanted the kids (and me) to rest up before MVMCP so we went back to BCV and hit Beaches & Cream takeout. Burgers and such. It was good. I have no idea what the Z's group did for lunch other than Uncle Joey and Aunt Betsy did hit Mexico for Mango Margaritas :flower1:

Dinner was for all of us at Liberty Tree Tavern. We arrived about 20 minutes early and boy am I glad we did. I had pretty much resigned myself to separate tables across the restaurant because Uncle Joey was a late addition to the crowd. So I had 2 separate PS, one of 4 and one of 7. I checked in and asked if we could try to be placed together, and said I understood if it couldn't. They did a great job. We wer seated shortly after our 5:30PS time with tables right next to each other. Food was the same as always...YUM YUM YUM...(that's from DH lightsaber by the way). Good and lots of it. And the characters sure played along. Minnie flirted with Grampa Z and then Chip flirted with Gramma Z...all in good fun and they were enjoying it.

Well, that's all for now as the Z's depart Monday AM. I'll start Part II in a bit.
