Just back from our third stay at an AS resort (once at Movies, twice at Sports).
I am done with the All Stars!!!!
Have done it three times and that is my limit!
Don't get me wrong. It is a wonderful place to stay , but I want just a tad bit more in a resort.
Check in was fast and efficient( we arrived Friday at around 7pm). This was good ,considering the three day weekend. We did get NS, connecting, but we got Hoops hotel instead of Touchdown. It didn't make a difference, though. They gave us one of the closest rooms on the first floor and we were actually much closer than a lot of the preferred rooms.
I don't know if it was because I ran my humidifier, but I didn't hear one PEEP during our stay!
Mousekeeping was great and made cute things with the towels and our stuffed dolls! Brought us extra towels , too, without us having to ask. I did wake up calls for the kids both mornings and they loved it (you can't get that offsite). We did use the pool and it was never crowded. The food court was great -good selection and good food quality.
Buses- very efficient!!! Wonderful!! We left for Epcot a bit early in the evening (before 5 ) and didn't stop at BB!!!
Took the bus to MK for our early PS on Sat morning and the driver had us there by 7:15! That's service!
I met a lady on the bus coming back from Epcot Sat night and she told me that they had been there (1st timers) for a week on a package and that she felt she needed more luxury in a hotel for that length of time. I would have to agree. It's not bad for us, since we do three nights at most at a time. I can't imagine being there a week. I told her about mousesavers and the discounts and all. She was very grateful.
Okay... just had to share this...
One morning my DH was sitting on the floor staring intently out the window (not moving a muscle). I looked to see what he was looking at. It was a cute little bunny. He says, "I'm watching animals from my balcony at AKL." Very funny!!!!!!
Well, my passes expired yeserday, so this was our last trip for a while. We paid about 179.00 each for those (with DC discount) and got six trips (total of 14 nights) out of them. I would say we got our money's worth- no easy feat at WDW!!!!
We may try to get back in May -I would love to try CSR or YC
and have tentative plans for Thanksgiving 2003 (WL or GF).
If given the choice between AS or not going, I would stay at AS again, but it will have to be the Music, since I haven't seen that one yet.
All in all, ASSp gets a thumbs up!
