Hi all!! I am just back yesterday, so bear with me, this may be long.
Cast of Characters: Me, 29 - loves to eat; DH, 30 - likes to eat anything in sight; DD, 6 - the picky eater; DS, 7 - eats like his father; Grandma, 55 and Grandpa, 54.

This was Grandma and Grandpa's first trip ever to the world so we planned a lot of different meals for them to try a lot of stuff. We did no real fancy places, mostly because of the kids.

Dec 4 - Lunch at Uno's at the Crossroads. Ate here after arriving from the airport because everyone was starving. Good pizza's and had a great soup and salad special for like $6. We all left feeling full. 7/10 - Good for quick eats.

Dinner - 'Ohana. We had a PS for 6pm and arrived a little early. We let them know we would wait for a table to view the castle. Only waited like 5 minutes before we were seated. Food was great, as usual. DH and I shared a Lapu-Lapu, and I agree with most here that it should be called a Loopy-Loopy, talk about a strong drink. Service was awesome from our cousin and her helper. Kids did the cocunut races twice. Grandma and Grandpa loved it. The only odd thing this time was that the shrimp was very spicy. I usually eat a lot of that shrimp but this time I only ate one because it was so spicy. Had a great view of the castle and all it's changin colors. 9.5/10

Dec5 - After a quick breakfast in the room, we headed to MK for EMH. We had the later seating at Cinderella's Royal Table for my son's 7th b-day. We had to wait what seemed like a really long time, but couldn't tell you what it was. We got up there and were seated. Our server brought out drinks and food and all. This really is a meal for the atmosphere and not the food. It was do-able but not anything to write home about, at least for the food. But that castle is great. My DS was just loving all the characters. They signed his book and a birthday card for him and he got a little cupcake too. That made his day and that's what it was all about. Cool thing is that as we were getting up to leave - we were close to the window - we saw Captain Hook running out on the balcony and Peter Pan chased after him. pretty cool. 5/10 for food; 10/10 for atmosphere.

Dinner - Cape May Cafe at the Beack Club. We arrived for our 5:30seating, starving. Talk about a buffet. Awesome selections. DH and Grandpa loved all the seafood, especially the mussels. Grandma loved the shrimp. I just loved it all. Kids ate fairly well here. I am still a little surprised at the lack of regular vegetables for kids. I was kind of hoping for more than corn everywhere I turn, but I realize that you can't please everyone. The manager of the restaurant came and talked to my DS about his b-day and then came back with a balloon signed by Goofy, Minnie and Chip & Dale - I didn't even ask, Stefan was just announcing to everyone we met that it was his birthday. Then our server got the whole restaurant to sing Happy Birthday to him. He got a little sheepish. BTW, DD and DS loved this place because they have paper as a table cloth for them to draw on. Stefan even got a cool birthday cupcake that was wrapped in hardchocolate and had whipped cream on top. Needless to say that disappeared fast.

Well, I think I will close this one for now and opt to add the next 2 days in another post.

Enjoyed your review--especially O'Hana and Cape May b/c they are two of my favorites. :)

Great reviews! I really want to try 'Ohana and Cape May Cafe sooner or later. I'm adding them to my list!!!!

Great reviews, thanks! I too love both 'Ohana's and Cape May too :) (My DBF enjoyed the paper table cloth and crayons too and he's 37  ) Though I must admit, I liked the food at Cindy's - mmmmmm, cheese toast and that potato casserole - yum! But that may just be because we don't get that stuff in England *sigh*

Thanks for the reviews!

I agree about the food at Cindy's. I don't understand why they can't make it better. The atmosphere is so cool:D
